What a weekend at One Raceway for the Wakefield 300!
It wouldn’t be a great race without a few challenges… After a tail shaft failure at the start of qualifying, the team was under serious pressure to source parts and get the car back together in time for practice before Sunday’s race.
Starting from the rear of the grid, we pushed hard — picking off competitors one by one and working our way up to 5th. From there, we kept the momentum rolling and crossed the line 1st outright and 1st in class.
Huge effort from the whole crew — couldn’t have done it without the team . 🏁🔥

Sydney 300… what a day!

The day didn’t start great — the car hit the wall in Practice 1, which definitely wasn’t ideal. But after a few quick parts deliveries and a solid two hours of work from the team, we got it back out just in time for qualifying. Harry smashed it and put us in P3!

The race was looking good — both pit stops done and dusted, and we were on track for a podium. The rain hit in the last 10 laps which made things tricky, but we were still right in the mix… until we got an incorrect penalty on lap 75 for supposedly missing a pit stop. Everyone was scratching their heads!

Thankfully, it all got sorted after the race — penalty cleared, and we were crowned outright 2025 champions and A-Class winners!

Thank you for the massive effort from the whole team — and some seriously tough competition out there. What a race!

been a long time since posting anything on here but here it is.

after a few teething issues with the new car early in the year trying to sort out a missfire

the engine came out for a check/rebuild and found sus exhaust valve seats and a ignition issue

took the car to winton in may for a road trip and she ran faultlessly all day, well worth the long drive down there awesome track and track school do a great job with there events.

fast forward a few weeks myself and Jimmy Vernom entered the car in the Sydney 300.

I did both practice sessions on the Saturday morning and both managed a PB each time, I managed a 1.38.6 on old tyres and a full tank of fuel, she's bloody quick!!

Jimmy got in for qualifying and managed to put us in P4 even with a upright that broke mid session.

we thought we were out of the race before it had even begun, but luckey Todd Herring had a spare set and we were able to get it bac together for the start of the 300,

by lap 2 Jimmy was in 1st and was showing everyone the pase of the car and himself.

unfortunately after lap 32 a steering column failure bought our race to a end, thankfully no damage to the car.

Jimmy recorded the fastest lap of the race with a 1.38.038, and we couldnt go faster than a 1.38 for the race requirements.

so few more teething issues to sort out with new modified steering column and new custom uprights not reusing the ones bought from the states.

thanks for Jimmy's effort and all the pit crew that came out to help with the pit stops.
