🏉 EXTRA PLAYERS NEEDED FOR SORELL THIS FRIDAY NIGHT AT LINDISFARNE 🏉

Lindisfarne Women’s Masters Football are hosting a special round dedicated to “Mental Health Awareness” We are looking for more players. Maybe you’ve played in the past and would like a one off game ?

Feeling a bit unfit? That’s okay, it’s footy for fun. We can supply the jumper and anything else you may need. Just ask and thankyou, please share if you can 💖💙

Great team effort Sunday, the Team kept the reigning premiers fighting for their 20 point win.

Proud of the way everyone conducted themselves throughout the game, especially with player Avril Baily coming back and new player Jo Oswin, who both played really well for their first game this season. Keep working with each other, get behind each other, and it will come together.

Best players were Tonika Hudson, Cherie Adams, Jo Roy, Mia Langfeldt, Jo Oswin, and Anita Griffiths . Congratulations goes to Jo Oswin, who received the "Players Player" award.

Special thanks goes to the Lindisfarne players who helped with player shortages, the Sorell Team appreciate the help.

A big thank you to the people that helped out behind the scenes, Phoebe as Runner, Andrew as Goal umpire, Willow for running water, and Asst Coach Kristy with the players and team rotations, Team Manager Bec for putting the team in PlayHq and organising permits for fill in players.

Special mention to Tania Johnson for the washing of the jumpers and bringing them back to the games clean, fresh, and organised, every fortnight.

See you at training over the next two Wednesdays as we get ready to take on Claremont at Anzac Park Friday night 5th June.

Success is even more great when it’s celebrated across teams. Awesome SUZY KING🥇GOAL 👏👏

Today may not have gone our way on the scoreboard against Claremont, but we absolutely had a moment worth celebrating like a grand final 🐯💛🖤
In her footy career spanning well over 100 games, much-loved Suzy King kicked her VERY FIRST goal today! 🔥 And honestly, the celebrations on the field were something special.
Suzy might be one of the oldest players in our Masters group (we won’t mention numbers 😄), but she is one of the toughest, kindest and most loved players around. Seeing the smile on her face was worth every minute.
We may have lost big, but the pressure never dropped and neither did our spirit. Footy for Fun at its absolute best 💪

3 Cheers for Our Volunteers 👏💙💖

Behind every training session, every match day, every Bunnings BBQ, every fundraiser, every social event, and every new player welcomed into this Team… there’s a volunteer to make it happen.

Our helpers come from everywhere and many of us have now made lifelong friendships together.

This National Volunteer Week, we’re celebrating many who keep our Team running week in, week out. 🙌

G'day, it was a gutsy team effort by everyone, considering 7 doubled up in the earlier game and we had 5 unfamiliar players. It was fantastic to watch you all fighting it out to the very end, well played.

Best players were Sascha Wise, Letitia Johnston, Anita Griffiths,Mia Langfeldt, Jo Roy, and Tania Johnson. Congratulations goes to Anita, who received the "Players Player" award.

A big thank you to the people that helped out behind the scenes, Teegan as runner, Maddi as goal umpire, Andrew and Willow, for running water, and Kristy with her experience and knowledge of the players and their rotations.
