That was a completely new experience for me on Saturday Night as Crew Chief, hats off to you all that setup & support race drivers on their quest to be at the top of this sport.
Firstly a big thank you to Kayden Barker and family for the massive effort in their part, travelling across the Tasman to sunny Qld, to contest the 2024-25 Qld Compact Speedcar Title.

Not the smoothest start to the night with a throttle percentage issue straight out of the gate for Hot Laps, this was Kayden's chance to get a feel for the car, setup & track. No matter how much prep you put in prior to race day, some things you can just never foresee such as an ECU fault.

First Race: Heat 2
Started 5th - finished 4th. Going in blind to this, Kayden held his composure on a rough track and banked some points.
Second Race: Heat 3
Started 6th - finish 5th. ,
With a heat that had all the hot shots in it and starting in front of us, Kayden bagged more valuable points in a car still not quiet suited to the track conditions.
Feature race:
Started 9th โ€“ Finished DNF.
With a descent break till the feature we had a chance to get some Shock Absorber Therapy advise and discuss car setup. Changes done along with the track work, this guy had me excited in the first few laps. Challenging for P3 with in the same amount of laps we had turned an average night into a promising one, until contact broke a steering heim on lap 5. Race over unfortunately.
Kayden's words, "we had a bit of a rocket ship" .

Can only say, practice night is done and dusted. Lets Send It at the next one Kayden Barker Motorsport.

Thanks to all the teams that made the trip up the range. Thanks to , O'Neill Motorsport and crew for a massive effort and making the racing so much fun. Kevin Clout, Chris Foreman, John Coonan & Clifford Mcdonald your support at every race meeting and hard yards is so appreciated.

As always, a massive shout out to and thanks to our sponsors

Let's get into it again.

The field is set for round 3 of the Glen Eden Constructions Pty Ltd QCSA Club championship at Maryborough Speedway this round also counts for round 2 of our QCSA away series

Great effort from all teams to have nominations in early and have a confirmed 10 cars to make the trip north to Maryborough.

Last season unfortunately didnโ€™t see the mighty compacts tackle the tight bull ring of Marybrough speedway with weather and other issues canceling our scheduled events. Everyone will be itching to see what they can bring to Maryborough speedway this season.

Whoโ€™s your pick to take out round 3 of the QCSA club championship?

Q1. Andrew Parks
Q11. Dave Sanby
Q27. Nigel Stiles
Q31. Mitchell Thompson
Q38. Matt O'Neill
Q52. Jeremy Ennever
Q63. Richard Treanor
Q64. Brock Byrne

The Riktek Racing 63 compact speedcar was on display at the Brad Jones Racing, Meet & Greet with Andre Heimgartner & Macauley Jones at R&J Batteries on Tuesday 22nd October.
Fabulous afternoon to show case Queensland compact speedcars along with the Supercars, Legend Race Cars and some Hot Rods.
So much interest shown once again in the car and Speedway in general.
It is always nice to hear everyone's stories linking them to Speedway and discussing the development of the race cars.
Thank you to R&J Batteries and the team for the opportunity and sponsorship they provide to Riktek Racing 63.
Thanks for the catch up Andre & Macauley, wishing you both all the best for this weekend's Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500.

It's been a few busy weeks in lead up to the first outing for Riktek Racing 63 in the 2024-25 season at Hi-Tec Oils Toowoomba Speedway Saturday Night.

We freshened the engine up, got the correct top & bottom injectors and headed to the dyno to run in the engine. During this process the ECU faulted which lead to a late night Friday before race day programming a new ECU.

First Race: Heat 1
Started 10th - finished 8th. Engine was very Rich with no acceleration but managed to gain a couple of spots.
Second Race: Heat 2
Started 5th - finish 4th. ,
First lap hit some oil dropped on the track in a prior race and shot across the field spinning up, with no where to go a car tagged me but lucky we where both able to restart. Sent to the rear of the field I now had some work to do. The oil court out a couple of other drivers, after several yellow flags we come home 4th.
Feature race:
Started 5th โ€“ Finished 4th.
The track was slick and engine tune still off, we ran home to finish 4th after holding 3rd for half the race until a mistake and Andrew Parkes slipped up the inside.
Over all a good night, blown the cobwebs out and collected some tune data. Congratulations to the top three for the night.

Thank you to all that helped 63 for the night and everyone pitching in to run and organize the meeting for QCSC.

Thanks to the , O'Neill Motorsport crew for a massive effort and making the racing so much fun. Cliff McDonald, Matt O'Neill, Kevin Clout, Chris Foreman and John Coonan. Your support at every race meeting and hard yards is so appreciated.
As always, a massive shout out to and thanks to our sponsors R&J Batteries, FUCHS Lubricants Australasia, Leda Nutrition, MasterMac2000 and J-Zee Services. I couldnโ€™t perform and present the car as well as I do without your ongoing support.
