We have all been there.
Waking up in the morning and thinking of any excuse to hit snooze.
Bed is too comfy.
Just 5 more minutes..
I'll train tonight instead.
When push comes to shove you end up not showing up for yourself and breaking your promise, resulting in a self sabotage spiral of thinking “this is too hard”.
This is a limited mindset and it is delaying your potential. And, unfortunately, this is a consequence of your own actions.
When we procrastinate going to the gym, we think we are avoiding discomfort, when really it is creating more discomfort.
Instead of feeling uncomfortable in the moment:
We feel uncomfortable in our clothes
We feel self conscious
We believe the gym is too hard
We begin a spiral of lacking motivation
You need to recognise that this is a limited way of thinking and you need to shift your approach.
In order to achieve your goals and show up for yourself you need to take responsibility for your actions.
The more you challenge yourself to take action, even if it’s just a small step, you are breaking free from the mindset that limits you.
The more you push, the more you open yourself up to growth, progress and success.
