Hey Salmo fans,Awesome to see more likes my partner Adam would be stoked. For new likes he was the first distributer for Salmo out here for Aus. Sorry I haven't been posting or talking I've had a lot going on personally. Would love to know what your all up too? Hey Salmo Fans,Today is a special day for all of Adams family it would have been his 33rd Birthday...... Im lost for words atm but i know he would want us all out there trying to snag a fish this weekend,so if you are lucky enough to get out and catch one think of him cause i know he would have a smile on his face like this one,altho his not fishing he was with his first love last yr his girls xx

And here's the man who brought Salmo to Salmo Australia,he belived in this product yrs ago and he was a "Fairdinkum Honest Aussie Fishermen " that wanted to help everyone catch a fish,get that thrill he got when he "Hooked Up" and also with his knowledge and skill teach others especially our younger generation to enjoy fishing and look after the environment by "Catch N Release" Thank you Adam for sharing it with us.... and me

DEPI doing its great effort for the future :)

Three northern Victorian waters have shared in 71,500 Macquarie perch fingerlings thanks to the State Government’s $16 million Recreational Fishing Initiative and revenue collected from the sale of fishing licences.

The fish were grown at the Department of Environment and Primary Industries’ (DEPI) Snobs Creek hatchery, near Eildon, which has also been busy recently breeding other native fish such as Murray cod and trout cod for its statewide stocking program.

During the past two months the Hume Region has benefited from two locations with a total of 40,500 fingerlings released into the Ovens River between Myrtleford and Gapstead (five sites), and 26,000 into the Goulburn River between Molesworth and Trawool.

A further 5000 Macquarie perch were stocked into Expedition Pass Reservoir near Castlemaine.

Help from community group Native Fish Australia and DEPI’s Arthur Rylah Institute had been critical in collecting broodfish Macquarie perch for the breeding program at Snobs Creek.

Macquarie perch can only be taken by anglers from three waters in Victoria currently including Lake Dartmouth and the Yarra River. Take is permitted in accordance with strict bag and size limits and a three-month closed season each year, although many anglers choose to release Macquarie perch given their conservation status.
