No two horses are the same.

Discipline, age, injury history and workload all influence how we structure a program. We take the time to tailor sessions so each horse receives what it actually needs, not a one size fits all routine.

If you value thoughtful, structured care, we would love to work with you.

Send us a message to discuss your horse.

It’s amazing how quickly you become attached to the horses who spend time with us. Saying goodbye is never easy, even when it means they’re ready to head home.

Recently, we farewelled Chayse, the current EWA Eventer of the Year, after several weeks with us while Emily took some well-earned time to enjoy maternity leave.

The pride we feel sending her back is enormous. She leaves here incredibly fit, beautifully muscled, mentally relaxed, and looking absolutely outstanding.

Thank you, Emily, for entrusting us with such a special mare. She has been an absolute pleasure to have around the barn, and she'll certainly be missed. ❤️

Machine Gun Gracie, winner of the WA Oaks-WA Derby double last season and current WA Champion 3-Year-Old (3YO) of the Year burst back to top form with an impressive effort in the Group 3, $250,000, Epona Stakes (1900m) at Rosehill Gardens in Sydney.

So nice to receive this testimonial from her vet.

There’s nothing quite like turning on the lights each morning and being greeted by such an incredible group of horses. Every day brings us one step closer to seeing them return to their designated fields, stronger and healthier than before.

Every horse that comes through our gates is on their own journey. Some are recovering from surgery or tendon injuries, some are preparing to head back into work, while others are simply here for a freshen up or to benefit from a different approach to their routine. Watching them grow stronger, healthier and more confident again is what makes this so rewarding.

One of the most exciting parts of what we do at Peringa Equine is working alongside a professor and human doctor to apply athlete-level rehabilitation techniques to horses. In particular, the progress we continue to see in tendon injury rehabilitation has been remarkable, and an area we are incredibly passionate about.

These horses constantly teach us to keep learning, refining and improving the way we care for them. We are always striving to raise the standard and deliver the very best outcomes possible.

To care for these animals and be part of their recovery never really feels like work. It’s a privilege. And none of it would be possible without our amazing staff, whose dedication and genuine care for every horse never goes unnoticed. I’m incredibly grateful for the team beside me every single day.

Has your horse gone full “paddock potato”

If they’re spending more time perfecting the art of standing around than actually moving, it might be time to shake up the routine at Peringa Equine.

Our Aqua & Dry Treadmills are designed to build fitness, improve strength and keep horses moving without the endless circles or arena boredom.

💦 Aqua Treadmill
Low impact, joint friendly and brilliant for horses coming back into work, recovering from injury or needing safe conditioning. Think fitness session meets recovery day.

🏃 Dry Treadmill
Great for building strength, improving stamina and creating a consistent training routine, especially when time, weather or rider schedules get in the way.

Why horses love it:
✔ Keeps the body moving correctly
✔ Helps maintain muscle and fitness
✔ Breaks up stable boredom
✔ Supports rehabilitation and conditioning programs
✔ Gives busy owners another option to keep horses progressing

Because let’s be honest… a bored horse usually finds their own entertainment, and it rarely ends well 😅

Performance horses require more than fitness. They need balance, strength and endurance.

We use treadmill sessions to complement ridden work, not replace it. The aim is to support correct biomechanics and improve muscular stability so the horse can carry itself more effectively under saddle.

Serious about long term performance? Let’s build the right foundation.

For some horses, a controlled environment builds confidence.

Young horses, recently started horses, or those returning after time off often benefit from steady, predictable sessions. The treadmill provides rhythm and consistency without the pressure of an arena or group setting.

It allows them to develop balance and understanding at a pace that suits them.

If you have a horse that needs a quiet, structured reintroduction to work, speak to us about suitable options.
