Dolfina Teatro — A Young Star With a Big Story!

This season, Dolfina Teatro made his mark in the US Gauntlet, ridden by Poroto Cambiaso, after an impressive debut in last year’s Argentine Triple Crown.

A horse with scope, balance, and that unmistakable La Dolfina brilliance, he’s quickly becoming one of the most exciting prospects in the string.

Poroto shared a special insight into their connection:
“Teatro played for the first time with my dad (Adolfo Cambiaso) in Palermo last year. He’s a really complete horse.”

And complete he truly is — speed to break away, stamina to stay powerful through the chukker, and that prized polo quality, a good mouth — meaning he stops, turns, and changes direction with softness, precision, and total responsiveness.

His pedigree explains the magic:
Sire: Dolfina El Boeing — one of La Dolfina’s most celebrated stallions, winner of major awards across Argentina, the USA, and the UK.

Dam: Sugar — an American Quarter Horse mare crowned Wembley Horse of the Year,

A hard‑fought Gauntlet battle against a tough Park Place polo team in the US 🇺🇸 Gold Cup— every chukker demanded focus, horsepower and heart.

The pressure was real, the pace was fierce, and our Scone La Dolfina team rose to it together.

Proud to come away with the win and even prouder of the team effort behind it. Scone La Dolfina. 🏇❤️

Jeff was there, playing polo in the UK 🇬🇧 high-goal season, 28 years ago in 1998 doing something that had not been done before with Adolfo Cambiaso, Gonzalo Pieres and James Beim.

A story of polo greatness that is still unfolding for Adolfo Cambiaso all these years later.

Thanks for sharing your memories with us , Jeff, all the comments say clearly what we already know, you are a Legend! 🙌

Thanks to Richard Weekes for highlighting this incredible story. 👌

Today we put the spotlight on Jesse Bray’s Sweet P — the young mare stepping into her first high‑goal season with the confidence of a veteran.

She was bred by the Bray family, out of the thoroughbred mare P1 and the New Zealand stallion Caesar, she carries a blend of size, speed, and raw athleticism that was turning heads in this year’s US Gauntlet polo.

Jesse shares:
“I have watched her and played her since she was born really, so when I get on her I have a lot of confidence. She stops very fast. She is very handy and quick for a big horse. She’s super easy, and she has lots of power. She’s probably a lot bigger than most people would like, but it doesn’t bother me too much. She just gives me a lot of confidence when I play her. I think I played her the 4th chukker all season — maybe the 3rd some games, but mainly the 4th.”

A young coat, a big frame, and a mind that understands the game far beyond her experience.

Sweet P is only at the beginning of her polo story — and already a standout for Scone Polo x La Dolfina in 2026.

Baby Face — A Rising Star for Scone Polo x La Dolfina in the US Gauntlet 2026

At just six years old, Baby Face was already turning heads in the US Gauntlet with Poroto Cambiaso riding her for Scone Polo x La Dolfina.

Young, electric, and full of promise — she’s one of those rare prospects you know will only get better with time.

Her speed, her mind, her engine… everything hints at a mare destined for big stages in the years ahead.

When we asked Poroto Cambiaso what he loves about Baby Face, he said:

“Baby Face was incredible this season — she does everything a little faster than the rest. She’s explosive, very quick, and I loved playing her this year. She’s still new, but she already feels special.”

Her groom, Iñaki Cedrés, says;

“I looked after Baby Face in Argentina before she travelled to the US, where she proved she had everything. That’s why they decided she should return to Argentina to join the Triple Crown — Hurlingham, Tortugas, and Palermo.
She’s naturally powerful, one of those mares that needs very little grain because she’s strong by nature. Calm in her daily routine, small in size but with a huge motor. Her mother, Bárbara, was known for running hard — and Baby Face does the same.”

A young mare with pedigree, power, and presence — Baby Face is one to watch. The future looks bright. ✨🏇

Baby Face Bloodlines:

• Mother: Bárbara (Valiente) — played in the USA and Argentina, known for power and speed.
• Father: Dolfina El Boeing — one of La Dolfina’s most celebrated stallions, winner of multiple awards across Argentina, the USA, and the UK.

We continue the Jeff Fisher interview with Richard Weekes on the historic wins of Kerry Packer’s Ellerston White team in 1998 with Gonzalo Pieres, Adolfo Cambiaso, Jeff and James Beim.

James Beim was a rising star polo player at the time and has had an amazing polo career ever since. A former England captain with a career stacked in trophies, he’s been part of some iconic teams and unforgettable wins.

James made history back in 1998, lifting the Queen’s Cup and UK Gold Cup alongside Gonzalo Pieres, Adolfo Cambiaso and Jeff Fisher— a legendary run that stamped his name into polo history early on.

And of course in 2019, James teamed up with David Paradice and Scone Polo to win the Cartier Queen’s Cup.

All of them Legends of the game of polo!
