Over the weekend, the Tasmanian GC Mixed Doubles was played in fine weather (on very wet lawns). The competition was strong as state team members honed up their skills in preparation for the Interstate Shield Competition later this year.

The winners were Carol Inches and John Colquhuon (Eastern Shore), and second Carol Hanigan (Sandy Bay) and Malcolm Maney (Latrobe).

Over the weekend, our members officiated at the Tasmanian GC Open Mixed Doubles. Tom (Tournament Manager) and Harry (Referee) teamed up to make the event a very successful one. Our member, Sue Nicholls, and her partner played some very tight matches against some of the state’s best players and finished with three wins over the two-day competition. Well done, SLCC members.

A big Thankyou to the members of Royal Park Croquet Club for organising the annual Easter Raffle Congratulations if you were one of the lucky people whose ticket was drawn out by the Chairman of Northern Tasmanian Croquet Centre.

The final of the Advantage Doubles competition finished off a very successful Easter Event at the Northern Tasmanian Croquet Centre The winners Tracey and Cameron Smith from St Helens defeated Karen and Simon Jackson from Eastern Park, Geelong. A great four days of competition.
