Sparing Seminar at The Basin

Today, Grand Master Michael Daher led an intensive sparring seminar at The Basin, Victoria — three hours of dynamic sparring followed by a focused final hour of step sparring.

The energy in the dojang was powerful, with students pushing their limits, sharpening their skills, and training with true One Legacy spirit.

A special acknowledgement to our members from Stawell, who travelled over three hours to attend. Your commitment embodies the perseverance and unity that define our federation.

🥋✨ A Historic Day at One Legacy International Taekwon‑Do Federation

Today, on our 2nd anniversary, One Legacy proudly hosted our Senior Black Belt Grading at our headquarters — a day that will be remembered for generations.

We celebrate a truly historic moment as Master Amanda Morrison was promoted to 7th Dan, becoming the first female Master in our organisation. Her dedication, perseverance, and unwavering spirit embody the very essence of Taekwon‑Do and pave the way for future generations.

A heartfelt congratulations also goes to all other members who were promoted today. Achieving such milestones on this unforgettable anniversary makes the occasion even more meaningful.

Together, we continue to rise, honour our legacy, and build the future of One Legacy.

Celebrating the 71st Birthday of Taekwon‑Do

Today, 11 April 2026, the One Legacy International Taekwon‑Do Federation proudly joins practitioners around the world in celebrating the 71st Birthday of Taekwon‑Do.

On this day in 1955, General Choi Hong Hi presented the name Taekwon‑Do, giving our art its identity, its philosophy, and its unifying purpose. His vision continues to guide our practice, our teaching, and our commitment to preserving the authentic foundations of Taekwon‑Do.

For seventy‑one years, Taekwon‑Do has inspired discipline, moral culture, technical excellence, and personal growth across generations and nations. As guardians of this legacy, One Legacy remains dedicated to honouring the Founder’s teachings and ensuring that the true spirit of Taekwon‑Do continues to flourish.

Honouring the Founding of the International Taekwon‑Do Federation
Today we proudly commemorate the official founding of the International Taekwon‑Do Federation, established on 22nd March 1966 under the leadership of General Choi Hong Hi, the Founder of Taekwon‑Do.

This historic moment marked the beginning of a global movement—one built on discipline, integrity, perseverance, self‑control, and indomitable spirit. From its origins in Seoul, Korea, the ITF has grown into an international family, united by a shared commitment to technical excellence, moral culture, and the vision of General Choi.

As we celebrate this milestone, we honour the pioneers who carried Taekwon‑Do across borders, the instructors who continue to preserve its true teachings, and every student who trains with sincerity and purpose.
