Fun Fu Resources for teaching children Martial arts and fitness FunFu has been designed to equip children with skills to escape the unthinkable - a physical attack.

FunFu teaches child safety in a number of formats including an 8 week Child Safety Course and ongoing FunFu lessons as an extra curricular activity. At FunFu classes kids learn to recognise and avoid danger and how to use non physical and physical defence (including wrestling, martial arts and boxing). What sets FunFu classes apart is the integration of self confidence coaching (confident kids are

rarely victims), focus training / meditation (to stay calm in confronting situations) and fitness (cardio, strength and flexibility). Kids enjoy FunFu because they get to run, jump, roll, yell, kick, punch and role play. Parents love FunFu because they can see their kids learning vital survival skills providing some peace of mind.

While other states have autism specific schools Queensland doesn't. However soon Queensland's first school specifically for autistic children will open its doors thanks to a Brisbane mum's battle for her son. Katrina Blowers reports.
