As part of the twin event arrangement between Coombabah Trail Run and the Papatowai Challenge, two of their runners visited the Gold Coast last weekend. Linda and Martin arrived Friday evening, and although the 07 June, Coombabah Trail Run event was cancelled, we spent Saturday morning running the Paradise Point Park Run, planted some Koala-friendly trees, and we walked a section of the route in the Coombabah Lakes Conservation Park, hoping to spot a Koala or two.
Saturday evening we had a "Braai" at our place.
Sunday Linda and Martin spend sightseeing and Sunday evening we had sun-downers at Salacia Waters and say our farewells.
Monday morning they flew back home.

I reckon that the first exchange to the Gold Coast went very well, and the Coombabah Trail Run team are looking forward to doing the same in 2027.

Thank you to Craig and his team from Sport Clutha for facilitating this trip.
