HALLETT ON TOP IN QLD-NSW SPRINTCAR STATES SERIES AFTER LISMORE NAIL BITER!

Almost by stealth, Brock Hallett has taken the top spot of the QLD-NSW Sprintcar States Series after running second to Lockie McHugh by an agonising 0.063 seconds at Lismore Speedway on Tuesday night.

The series now heads to Hi-Tec Oils Toowoomba Speedway for the $20k-to-win Red Hot Summer Shootout on Friday and Saturday to decide the series and will be streamed live on Clay-Per-View

When asked if he feels like he’s got a target on his back, Hallett was nonchalant.

“No not at all. But every time I’ve raced at Toowoomba it’s pretty intense and up on the fence, which isn’t really my style, but we built a brand new car for Lismore which made me feel a bit more comfortable and we got a great result running second there, so we’re in a good spot.”

“A big thing for me is that Toowoomba is my team’s home track and Graham and Wendy have put a lot into that track and club, so I know it will make them very proud if we can grab the $20k and the series as well.”

The WA Series will also be decided Saturday at the Perth Motorplex with the $15k-to-win Alf Barbagallo Mr. Sprintcar Speedweeks Finale, with Clay-Per-View streaming live and 7plus broadcasting the Rapid Replay on the Sunday from 5pm AEDST.
