To finalise our twirling year we had a beautiful little gathering at The Great Western Hotel last night. Thank you to the GWH Line dancers for putting on a special event for our club.

2025 wrapped up - what a year weve all had and the highlight was being able to host a most fantastic Nationals right here on our home turf.

Thank you to all the wonderful parents for all your support and help over the year. Thank you to Summer for being her fabulous self and coming out of a 5 year break to rekindle her passion. You are an inspiration to the club

Looking forward to 2026

Last weekend we hosted the National Baton Twirling Championships and what an incredible weekend.

So many hardworking mums and dads, coaches, volunteers and of course athletes... None of this would have been possible without Twirl Queensland Executive, members and their families.

Thank you to the Rockhampton Regional Council for the funding provided through the Community Assistance Program. This gave us the ability to hire the CQU Community Sports Centre which is an absolute perfect venue for our Nationals. This is the 4th time we have hosted Nationals here in Rocky and the Rockhampton Regional Council have provided funding each time.

It was great having Drew Wickerson, Deputy Mayor attend on Friday and thank you to Donna Kirkland our MP who came and watched the team events on Sunday and helped with our presentations. Great to have this exposure for our little club and the sport.

Thank you to Chubz and Holly from Rhino Martial Arts who worked so hard and ran the canteen all weekend.

A bit of a down time after a brilliant Nationals Last week - congratulations to Maddy, Rubee, Jewel and a cameo from Atlas performing in the Pinefest Parade today in Yeppoon

Thanks to Chubz and Holly for driving the truck (unfortunately we had a music mishap and couldn't put all our signs up because of wind)...

What a great community parade so many wonderful floats and great atmosphere - but of course Twirlers are always a favourite

Beyond proud of this incredible team of young and a little older women who competed so admirably at the State Championships last weekend

Our goal - was to get routines on the floor for qualification for Nationals - achievement done. All qualified and now we work towards Nationals that will be held here in Rocky at CQU Community Sports Centre from 3 to 5 th October.

Great work girls. The hard work and commitment is paying off and hope you all enjoyed the moment and made new friends or reunited with fellow twirling mates you have met at past Twirl QLD comps.

Thank you to the organisers and judges. Lots of comments and things to work on to improve for the next one.

Our sensational juniors competed ever a brilliantly in the Marchpast and Junior Team event with Maddy Tzioutzias being awarded Best Leader
Aliyah Brown scooped the pool in her Juvenile Divisions and Gabriella won the prestigious Senior Dance Twirl event

Summer - thank you for keeping everyone motivated and working hard while I was away.

Congratulations to our twirlers who competed at the Mini Comp in Mackay on the weekend. It was a lovley, friendly comp as always and was so wonderful to see our friends from the other clubs

Great to take the competition floor for the first time in 2025. Hard work now to get prepared for States in late August.

Gabby also off to Italy foe Nations Cup in early August.

• A little memory to share •
A few weeks before Covid changed the world for us all, we were preparing for the performance at The Capras game.
Fun Fact: it was on this night that Layla saw the Twirlers Rock performance and became a twirler shortly after!
