Big shoutout to Ian Weigh Toyota for their incredible support throughout our journey.
From day one, having the TOC car on the road wasn’t just about transport. It was a moving billboard for something much bigger. The exposure and brand awareness it created across the community has been massive, shining a light on the work being done by Shelter Collective and Reboot.

Titans of Coal – Eddie
Last but definitely not least… the one and only, Edward Downing-Brown.
The guy you didn’t know you needed - as a friend, a captain, a teammate, and a coach. Eddie does it all. Coaching Normandy Hounds during his footy season while also running alongside them on the field, he leads from the front in every sense of the word.
He’s the man lifting everyone - on and off the field. The most consistent Titan we’ve had, and our number one South-East QLD recruiter. A true ride-or-die OG, Eddie has been there since the beginning - not once, but twice in Vegas. First for the Titans of Coal debut in 2025, then stepping up again in 2026 to lead our community team in their debut. Both times… undefeated world champions.
Eddie’s energy is unmatched. His laugh is contagious. And when you’re feeling it - fifth carnival game, body sore, energy low - this is the man you find. He’ll reset you, lift you, and have you feeling like it’s game one all over again.
A true leader. A true Titan. 🤝🔥

Titans of Coal, Carlin
Carlin, some may know him as a versatile playmaker, covering everything from fullback to the outside backs. An OG Titan who was part of our Vegas debut and the 2025 season, he’s now hung the boots up. But don’t think for a second he’s stepping away. His impact is just shifting lanes.
Carlin will still be heavily involved behind the scenes with coaching, recruiting, and sharing his knowledge across the wider TOC management team.
More than just his footy ability, Carlin is the kind of bloke every team needs. The one who checks in, not just on game day, but any day. The guy who’ll pick up the phone no matter the time, always up for a chat, a laugh, or to give honest advice when it’s needed. He’s grounded, reliable, and leads without needing the spotlight.
He brings a calm presence when things get chaotic, backs his teammates without question, and carries a genuine care for the people around him. A natural mentor, a team-first mindset, and someone who makes those around him better- on and off the field.
Once a Titan, always a Titan 🤝

Titans of Coal – Miss Bea
For those who’ve been part of our family… this is the one you’ve all been waiting for- Miss Bea.
Where do we even begin? Miss Bea… Mum… Tent Mum… Bus driver... whatever you call her, she’s the heart and soul of our game days. The one making sure everyone’s fed, stocked up on hydralytes, and sorted for whatever cravings pop up.
Mid-carnivals, it doesn’t matter how questionable her sense of direction is or where we are- she’s jumping in the bus to restock the goods. Snacks, hydralytes, and every random craving covered. Sure, she might get you lost along the way and take you on an unintended tour of whatever town we’re in… but you can bet you’ll never take the same route twice.
She’s the first to jump in with a rub down when the boys need it, and the one you can count on in a pinch. Part carer, part medic, full-time legend.
Miss Bea is one of the most beautiful humans you’ll meet… and somehow even better after a couple of beers. Always the life of the party, always bringing the energy, and always making every event, every player, and every game feel complete.
Simply put, it wouldn’t be Titans without her. 💛

James – “Jimmy”
Always the rose between Chey and Troy 🌹
One of the OG Titans, Jimmy has been there since the very beginning alongside Sops. Apart of the very first team. From our first Vegas team, to our first win, and plenty of wild adventures in between.
A man of many talents, he does it all, key playmaker on the field, cameraman behind the scenes, strapper when needed, mediator in the chaos, and always recruiting the next Titan.
Jimmy’s got one of the biggest hearts you’ll come across. Humble, genuine, and a mate to everyone. He’s always the first to check in on his people, no matter what.
An absolute pillar of this team 💪

Titans of Coal – Tarmika
Tarmika, our Ladies Team Manager and an all-round top person. Always up for a challenge, she’s a great sport who’s never afraid to lend a hand and hustle when it counts.
She’s been a huge asset to the team and playing a key role in securing sponsors, driving the organisation of our ladies’ debut, and now setting the stage for another cracker year ahead.
She’s the calm to the fellow team’s chaos. Steady, reliable, and always keeping things on track when it matters most.
Driven, dependable, and always putting the team first. Tarmika is a big part of what makes Titans of Coal what it is. 💪

Titans of Coal- Sops
Sops is the deadliest centre you’ll come across on the field; sharp, powerful, and always a step ahead. Playing for Maitland Pickers in Newcastle, he brings serious talent and experience every time he runs out.
But what really sets Sops apart is who he is off the field. One of the most humble blokes you’ll meet, always lifting those around him. Whether it’s motivation, support, or sharing his wealth of knowledge across all aspects of the game, Sops is someone the whole team leans on.
Working closely with Chey behind the scenes, Sops plays a huge role in making it all happen and finalising event details, organising teams, and helping recruit the talent that makes Titans what it is.
A true leader, a weapon on the field, and an even better teammate.

Titans of Coal – Chey
Chey – the organiser, the hard worker, the one behind the scenes making it all happen.
She’s the type to stress about every detail being perfect, and no matter what gets thrown her way, she always finds a way to get it done. Constantly putting others before herself, often without anyone even realising just how much work she’s put in behind the scenes.
She is the backbone of this team. Great fun, easy to be around, and the kind of person who makes everyone feel welcome from the moment they step in. Titans of Coal simply wouldn’t run without her.
As our Head FAO and Chief People Officer, Chey spends her days looking after people and keeping everything ticking along smoothly. And when she’s not doing that, she’s watching footy, talking footy, thinking about footy or planning her weekend around it.
If rugby league had a loyalty program, Chey would be platinum status.
Beyond the footy obsession, she’s one of the genuinely good humans in this club. Always up for a laugh, full of banter, and never hesitates to lend a hand or back a teammate when it matters most. She’s always going above and beyond for the TOC players.
An all-round good sort, a great club person, and someone we’re proud to have leading from the front in her own way.
