Part 2 of the dynamic duo of U17.5 milestone players this week is Aiden Shaw-Rea. Aido is a tough and dogged competitor with a cheeky grin and a constant threat in front of goal. He joined the Redbacks last year and made an instant and lasting impression with consecutive bags of goals leading the league goal kicking in our division. We hope you kick another bag on Sunday Aido to celebrate the magnificent achievement of 150 junior games, what a milestone indeed.

The U17.5's are back involved in the Push Up Challenge for 2026!! Last season, U16 co-captain Joel Murdoch led the charge, with his teammates helping reach daily quotas on each training night and raised $800 for Headspace.

This year is an extra special one as two of our team Mack Hanna and Aston Scherer take on the challenge raising money for Lifeline in memory of Mack's brother Elijah. Both boys will be targeting 3,307 push-ups in 24 days. Lets get behind them by supporting their fundraising pages below and see if we can better last seasons great total. Donations are tax deductible.

Massive congratulations to our U17.5 Captain Josh Buratti as he plays his 100th game this weekend. A Redback through and through Josh started Auskick at Ringwood and has played his 100 games here. He also represented the RJFC in 2 years of Interleague, captaining his U15 Interleague side and league Best and Fairest winner. A true leader and dynamo of the team with both a great footy resume and great footy future ahead. Have a great game on Sunday Josh!

Thank you to Amy & Sarah from Outside the Locker Room (OTLR) for presenting to the U17.5 team & parents the Ahead of the Game youth mental health initiative. It was informative and interactive and we all found it useful. Thanks to the senior club for sharing you space and delaying dinner a bit to accomdate the presentations.
