PETER-BUDGE X2 – CLUB CHAMPIONS

Ryan & Emma Peter-Budge created club history at the 2026 NRCC Presentation Night, being the first brother-sister duo to claim the Men's and Women's Club Champion Awards 🏆

Both Peter-Budge's had a stellar season at the Bulls, and we have a feeling they have many more achievements to come 👏🏼

NRCC PRESENTATION NIGHT 2026 ❤️🧡

It was a fantastic night at the Chirnside Park Country Club last Saturday night, where we got to celebrate a great 2025/26 season for the Bulls.

There was lots to celebrate – individual & team achievements, and the hard work of our committee, coaching staff, leaders, players, volunteers & sponsors.

Thank you for everyone who attended, it was great to get together to celebrate before turning our attention to next season!

BRAD “RAMBO” WILTON – LIFE MEMBER

On Saturday night at NRCC’s 2025/26 Season Presentation Night, Brad “Rambo” Wilton was officially inducted as a Life Member.

Becoming Life Member #49, Rambo debuted in 1992 and has now played 341 senior games for the Bulls and has contributed to the club in countless ways. His commitment and ongoing dedication make him an incredibly deserving recipient of this honour.

RYAN PETER-BUDGE — BILL DEAN MEDALIST

Please join us in congratulating Ryan Peter-Budge for winning the Bill Dean Medal at the RDCA Presentation night Friday night.

This season, Ryan averaged over 50 with the bat, took 13 wickets, and 10 catches.

Ryan is just the 3rd player in club history to win the Bill Dean medal for the best and fairest in Trollope Shield.

Very well deserved Ryan – we are all excited to see what else you will achieve in the coming years ❤️🧡

Please join us in congratulating Peter Ridgwell for receiving a 55 year Cricket Victoria Service Award at the Sheffield Shield Final last week.

Over the past 37 years at North Ringwood, Peter’s roles have included Captain / Coach, Assistant Coach, Committee Member, Junior Committee Member, Chairman of Selectors, Junior Team Manager, Life Member and many other positions.

Prior to North Ringwood, Peter held a variety of roles at Ringwood and Box Hill North Cricket Clubs.

Anyone who has crossed paths with Peter at the club would know how genuine and dedicated he is – always has time for others & will offer a helping hand with a smile. People like Peter are the foundations of clubs, and we are so lucky to have him at NRCC!

Congratulations Peter on this well deserved award! ❤️🧡

WOMENS CAPTAIN/COACH ANNOUNCEMENT

North Ringwood Cricket Club is proud to announce that Anna Janssen will take on the role of Women’s Captain-Coach for the 2026-27 season.

Anna will be taking over the role as captain from Kylie Rule, whom we also owe a spectacular level of thanks. Kylie took on the captaincy when the women's cricket program was brought back to the club 3 seasons ago and has steered the team to 3 consecutive finals series, including finishing top of the table this year in the regular season.

Already leading the group as coach, Anna now steps into the dual role, further strengthening her influence and leadership within our women’s program. Her commitment to the team and passion for developing players make her the perfect fit for this next step.
On the field this past season, Anna has led from the front with the bat, scoring 206 runs at an impressive average of 34 — a reflection of her consistency and determination.

Beyond her playing and coaching, Anna will play a key role in driving our club’s girls cricket pathway program. Her dedication to fostering participation, development, and opportunities for young players will be instrumental in building a strong future for women’s cricket at North Ringwood.

We congratulate Anna on her appointment and look forward to the continued growth and success of our women’s program under her leadership.

SENIOR COACH ANNOUNCEMENT

North Ringwood Cricket Club is excited to announce the appointment of our new Senior Men’s Captain-Coach, Ryan Peter-Budge.

A proven performer and respected leader within the club, Ryan has been involved in the senior club for over a decade already and brings a deep understanding of what it means to represent and lead North Ringwood.

Ryan takes on the dual role for the 2026/27 season having already been the club T20 captain and an assistant coach for the past two seasons. Across his career to date, Ryan has played 162 games, scoring 4,307 runs including 23 half-centuries and 6 centuries, along with taking 127 wickets — a true all-round contributor. His individual accolades include being a 2-time Club Champion, a past winner of the Trollope Shield Batting Average, and the 98.1 Eastern FM Trollope Player of the Year.

Ryan has made significant contributions to underage representative cricket, having represented Victoria (U15) and serving as captain for the Outer East Eagles U14, U16 & U18 (Dowling Shield). Along with a short stint at premier cricket, Ryan has been involved with several elite cricket programs.

Ryan’s passion for the club is evident both on and off the field. He has consistently demonstrated strong leadership, setting the standard through his professionalism, work ethic, and commitment to his teammates. Beyond senior cricket, Ryan has also been heavily invested in the development of our junior program, dedicating his time to mentoring young players and helping build a strong future for the club.

Ryan’s commitment, professionalism, and passion for North Ringwood make him the ideal person to lead our Senior Men’s program into its next chapter.

We look forward to supporting Ryan in his new role and are excited for what lies ahead under his leadership.

After five outstanding seasons, North Ringwood Cricket Club would like to sincerely thank our 1st XI Captain and Senior Men’s Coach, Luke McPhie, for his incredible service, dedication, and leadership.

Luke has been instrumental in driving on-field success in the senior men's program. Across his tenure, he has coached our teams into a combined 15 finals series, including 2 preliminary finals, 10 grand finals, and an incredible 4 premierships. The pinnacle of this success came with the unforgettable 2021/2022 Trollope First XI premiership — a moment that will remain a proud part of our club’s history.

Beyond the results, Luke’s commitment to the club, developing players, driving high standards, and setting the bar as high as possible has left a lasting impact on everyone involved with North Ringwood Cricket Club.

As Luke steps down to focus on his career and family, we thank him for everything he has given to the club and wish him nothing but the very best for the future.

We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to the wider coaching group who have supported Luke over the past five seasons — Peter Ridgwell, Ryan Peter-Budge, Darren Roe, and all those who contributed their time and effort during this period. Your collective work has played a significant role in the club’s success.

Once again, thank you Luke — your legacy as a First XI premiership captain at North Ringwood will not be forgotten.
