Saturday’s I am running general open classes 15years plus
Start time is 2pm and will run for up to an hour / half
Cost will be $20 per person
Bring a drink ,sweat towel
All group classses are capped at max of 6 ppl ,

Private 1o1 sessions will still be available for those that prefer these sessions
Private groups can also being catered for

Here at Northern Beaches Martial Arts. Jeet Kune Do our aim is to help you build your confidence and self esteem by improving your ability to avoid physical confrontation and be able to deal with it should the need arise.

At NBMA we believe martial arts should not be a complicated mess of unrealistic moves , rather, it should be a series of easy natural actions that can be applied to a range of situations. This means you can handle issues regardless of whether you are standing or on the ground , whether your attacker is empty handed or with a weapon.
It's all about adaptability.

Our training sessions are set in informal surrounding with an easy to follow programme with achievable outcomes

New and or beginners are always welcome ,

At NBMA JKD we cover a range of different martial arts systems catering for all levels of skill.Systems vary from empty hand to weapons defence and usage.
The class sessions are set to cover all capabilities
Private lessons are available $50per hour /half x 1 person , $40ea if 2 people , $20ea if 4 people.

Just going through some notes. I wrote this some time ago but still stands with me today

What Jeet Kune Do is to me

To me it is an expression of my practices , experiences and personal views. Using multiple arts and solutions into one continuous flow,
It is what I perceive it to be , my journey of self interpretations and processes.
I have been teaching and studying martial arts for quite some time now and have been privileged to have learnt from some great people.
How I have always taught is that I can show how to , make adjustments ,fine tune but have always maintained that the individuals are the only ones that can execute the actions making them make it suit themselves,
How it works for me maybe different how it works for others
Make it your own
Own your actions
Take ownership
Make it suite you , as everyone is different.
How do you know if something doesn’t work. ? By trying it !
How do you know if something works. ? By trying it. !
Set practices, drills ect. Repetition Building muscle memory
Always ensuring that the individuals understand that what they are practicing can work but only when the opportunity presents it self at that particular point of time and is not the only answer as the situation is always changing.
Questions to your self
Who writes the rules ?
Who’s game do you play ?
Where do you move to ?
What do you want to control ?
This is a journey that has no end !!!

Your interest to learn martial arts / self defence may get you to enquire but your hesitation of the unknown to go along stops you. Why ? Everyone who practices started at some point not really knowing the benefits
If what I have to offer for some reason doesn’t fit your mould don’t give up , try something else , learning to defend yourself and or you’re family while getting some exercise can be fun.
