HISTORY MADE!!

CAS & VIC Girls make the AUSTRALIAN SQUAD

Congratulations to Harmony Taupau, Eboni Heurea, Halo Titimaea and Rozaliah Matavao on being named in the 2026 Australian Schoolgirls Squad, which will travel to Papua New Guinea later this year.

In the inaugural year of the CAS Girls Program, these four outstanding athletes have earned the ultimate reward for their hard work, commitment and performances throughout the pathway.

This is a significant milestone for both CAS and Victoria, and a proud moment for everyone involved in the program.

Congratulations again girls, a truly historic achievement!

Congratulations to Samo, Charlie and Savelio on their selection to represent Queensland at the Australian Schools Rugby Union National Championships on the Sunshine Coast.

This is a fantastic achievement and a reflection of the hard work, dedication, and commitment each of these young men has shown throughout their rugby journey. The entire Downlands College community is incredibly proud to see them earning the opportunity to compete against the best schoolboy rugby players from across Australia.

Adding to the occasion, Downlands Past Student and Queensland Reds player Trevor King (2022) was on hand to present the players with their Queensland jerseys. A special moment and a wonderful example of the strong rugby pathway and community that continues to thrive at Downlands.

We wish Samo, Charlie and Savelio every success throughout the championships and look forward to following their progress on the national stage.
