Hi everyone, well as you well know I rarely post on social media, it's not really my thing! But things are changing this year for me, in the way that I'm moving! I'm currently building a much larger studio in the ABC building at Colinswood.. yep in the city! I felt like a change in life so am making this big move. I'll have my old foley room up in the bush ready to go incase I get a desire to do a film up there or the type of film requires it. However the new studio at the ABC will be the main one, it's a lot bigger (over 100sqm) and currently dust free! not for long though :) Still lots to do to make it all work as its needs to, but Im aiming for the end of January to turn the key and start this new place up. So stay tuned! Anyone out there that has any films or TV shows coming up thats needing foley, please contact me. [email protected]

Well more outdoors stuff today..love doing this stuff. More train..lots of waiting for it to pass a couple of times, got one mic right down on the tracks for a super CU of the wheels pass, worked very well indeed!. also a couple of Windmills , plus some nice Atmos . Last bit of Outback now for a while, over to NZ on Friday to search for Dwarves and Hobbits.

Been recording steam train today, the little bug mic in orange fluff got some amazing sounds of the piston that drives the wheels, had the Holophone inside the cattle car, all worked very well.

Did some great location foley today. some amazing places to record.

Its a de commissioned Power station, we have been from top to bottom and all the rooms between. Its very strange when standing at the very top then you look thru the grated floor..all the way to the bottom!!.

Had a busy few weeks, Have finished pick ups for Fury Rd, almost completed 3 episodes of Foyles War, Done one and a bit reels of Hobbit 3, and a few reels of Dinosaur Island So now I know whats all those shows are about Ill let you in in on their secrets.

As far as I can work out a mad character , lets call him Max, is being investigated by Mr Foyle for stealing Mr Gandalfs big stick. Mr Gandalf was chased by Mr Max, who was driving a dinosaur pulled Austin 7. Sir Alec who is the head of MI5 was also attacked by Gandalfs big stick after it was stolen my Mr Max. This leads to all out war between 25 million dwarves, 7 raptors and the entire squad of MI5. After this the story gets a little blurry as I fear i might get things mixed up a bit Ill have to leave you all hanging and go see these movies at the pictures!.
