Introducing Roy Benson. Roy is one of our OG team members, and has been road riding for 8 years. This will be Roy’s fifth B2GC.

It is not just the ride itself, but the training and riding with family and good friends that keeps him involved. He loves that he is able to ride the B2GC with his grandson Mason again this year!

Not unlike yourself, Roy’s circle has been affected by cancer, and he knows the difference that we can make in pursuing this important cause. He does this ride in honour of all the fighters, survivors, carers, and those lost to this horrible disease.

Introducing Judy Hill. Judy has been road cycling for only six months, but is taking on the B2GC 100km ride for the first time this year!

Besides raising money for a good cause for cancer, Judy’s motivation comes from watching her husband Craig complete last year’s ride and seeing the satisfaction he got from raising money for cancer research … ‘this was enough for me to want to be beside him this year doing it together’.

Introducing Liz Davis. Liz has most recently been road riding for 8 years, but started way back before her children who are now all in their 30’s. She has completed the B2GC twice - the first time with Vicki, which will stay with her as a wonderful life memory forever.

Liz is doing this year’s B2GC in memory of her riding buddy Kathryn Herbert who passed away recently after a terrible fight against cancer. 💔

Liz works for Qld Rail and also designs the Celtic artwork for Irish Dance competition costumes. Fun fact😉….when Liz was about 10, her Pony Club was doing a display at the local rodeo and everyone dared each other to go in the bucking poddy calf comp … and she won! 😊

Introducing Craig Hill. Craig has been riding bikes all his life, but only started road cycling 18 months ago.

Last year he completed the Brisbane to Gold Coast 100km for the first time….’as you ride into Hope Island at the Gold Coast it is very emotional, knowing you actually are going to make the 100 km ride and seeing people on the side of the road who have suffered cancer, also others who are holding up photos of loved ones they lost cheering you along is very rewarding. The challenge of riding 100kms alongside my family and friends is also the best thing I have ever done’.

Craig wants to thank ‘all the people who believed in us…you rock! Thankyou for your kind words and sponsorships for cancer research, our Major Team Sponsors Ray White Yeppoon David and Riley backed us the whole way, here’s hoping everyone can support us again one more year.’

Introducing Mason Benson….our youngest team member. Mason started road cycling almost 18 months ago, and completed the 100km Brisbane to Gold Coast for the first time last year. Mason is doing the B2GC again this year ‘to conquer the 100km again and raise money for cancer’. When not road cycling, Mason can be seen on the MTB trails or soccer field!

Here we go again ….. it’s the 2026 Brisbane to Gold Coast ride to raise vital funds for cancer research!

Remember last year when you carried and supported us to raise over $76000 in the fight against cancer? Well, we aren’t going to lay down and let this horrid disease beat us! We haven’t stopped training together as a team and will be amping it up from now until the 100km ride in August.

Can we please ask you to continue supporting us, and donating if you can, to show the rest of the country how serious we are in the fight against cancer?!
