🏆 Calling all clubs – get your team together for Grand Final Eve!

Our Stockdale & Leggo Mixed Triples Tournament is coming up on Friday 25 September 2026, and we’d love to welcome teams from clubs across the Bellarine, Geelong and surrounding areas to Portarlington.

It’s shaping up to be a great day of friendly competition – and with Grand Final weekend upon us, we’re encouraging everyone to wear their footy colours and join in the fun! 🏉

Registration: 9:45 am
Play commences: 10:30 am

✔️ Two games of 10 ends
✔️ Two-bowl mixed triples
✔️ $60 per team
✔️ $1,000 prize pool
✔️ Maximum 26 teams
✔️ BYO lunch
✔️ Bar open throughout the day
✔️ Footy colours encouraged!

Teams are filling fast, so if your club hasn’t put a team forward yet, now’s a great time to round up your triples and join us.

What a week it has been with the Portarlington Pirates competing in every event of the Ocean Grove tournament.

One event remains. This weekend representing the Portarlington Pirates 🏴‍☠️ in the RT EDGAR MEN’S CLASSIC FOURS…
Ray Malcomson, Terry Freeman, Butch Reed and special guest, Angelo Butera from Port Melbourne…

Get on down and check out this 2 day event sure to feature some top players from across the state with $14K in prize money up for grabs!

Helen Wilma and Nina are representing Portarlington in the ladies classic triples. And then later this week we hear we will have Sue and Bruce and Linda and Gerard in the mixed pairs. Go Pirates!

🎉 Day 2 of the OGBC Carnival is officially underway!

Days 2 and 3 feature the Bellarine Springs Ladies Classic Triples, with plenty of great bowls ahead.

Westcoast Bowls is in house under the Dome with all your bowling supplies - pop in and say hello to Jess!

Discover Bowls is on every Sunday throughout August. Come to whichever sessions suit you — try it once, come back again, or join us every Sunday. There’s no commitment to attend them all.

Come along and give bowls a try! No experience is needed, all equipment is provided — just wear flat-soled shoes — and our friendly accredited coaches and volunteers will be there to get you started.

Bring your family, bring a friend or simply come along on your own. All ages are welcome.

There’s no need to have registered beforehand — you can just turn up!

🌞 Discover Bowls continues every Sunday!

Following the fantastic success of our first Discover Bowls session, we’re delighted to continue welcoming new people to Portarlington Bowls Club.

Our first session attracted a wonderful mix of adults, families, children and teenagers, and we were thrilled to welcome a number of new members to the club. If you missed out, don’t worry—our Discover Bowls sessions will continue every Sunday over the coming weeks, and you can join us at any stage.

We can’t guarantee perfect weather, but we can guarantee a warm welcome.

🕥 Arrive from 10:45am for an 11:00am start.

Registration is encouraged as it helps us plan coaching groups, equipment and volunteers, but it isn’t essential.

If you’ve previously registered for one of our Discover Bowls sessions, simply log in with your existing BowlsLink account to make registration even quicker.

If you have any trouble registering online, or simply decide to come along at the last minute, don’t let that stop you. There’s plenty of room, and everyone is welcome.

Bringing the kids? Children are very welcome! As BowlsLink registrations are for adults only, if you’re bringing children for the first time, please email us at [email protected] with their names and ages so we can plan suitable activities. If you’ve brought them along before, there’s no need to email us again.
