The Toyota Good for Footy raffle is back for 2026!

Every ticket sold in the 2026 Toyota Good for Footy Raffle goes straight back to and directly strengthens our club.

This year we're aiming to raise $1300 for GPS monitors for our players which helps develop better training and improves the overall health and fitness for all our players! If we can make that target, then our next aim is to have permenant, safe storage for the club.

Tickets are just $5 and put you in the draw to win three brand-new Toyota vehicles, exclusive Money-Can't-Buy AFL experiences, coaching clinics with AFL stars and coaches, and much more! Buy a ticket. Back our club. Make a difference.

Vale Brittany McLaughlin

It is with great sadness that we acknowledge the passing of Brittany McLaughlin.

Brittany played alongside a number of our current and past Chargers at a pivotal time in the Port Melbourne Women's football pathway. She was part of the foundation, one of the women who pulled on the jumper at both the Port Melbourne Colts and Port Melbourne Football Club. She will be missed by all who shared the field with her.

This Saturday, our players will wear black armbands in her memory.

Our thoughts are with Brittany's family, her teammates past and present, and the wider football community mourning her.

We encourage anyone impacted by this news to seek support, and to check in on those around them. Lifeline 13 11 14 · Beyond Blue 1300 22 4636.

OUR 2026 CAPTAINS. ❤️💙⚡️

We are beyond stoked to announce that Maegan Harrison (Captain, left) and Claire Highfield (Vice Captain, right) will be leading the Chargers once again for the 2026 season!

This is a leadership duo with serious history. Maegan and Claire have played and captained together for the past five years, winning plenty of awards as a pair along the way. It’s no surprise they have been voted back into their roles by both their peers and the coaches.

After being instrumental in navigating us through our inaugural year and straight into a finals appearance, we know the club is in the safest hands possible.

They lead by example, with their most recent 2025 accolades proving they are still at the top of their game:

Maegan: Players’ Player & 3rd Best & Fairest

Claire: Players’ Player & Most Consistent

While their on-field performances are elite, it’s what they do behind the scenes that defines us. They are the driving force behind our club culture and the foundation of our success.

We're looking for a Club Physio

Great players need great support. We're building the team behind the team and we need a physio partner who's as invested in our players as we are.

At the Chargers, we believe that in order for our players to perform at their best, they need to be supported in every way, from training, to game day and off the field.

This means having the right people in their corner, preventing injuries and unlocking peak performance.

We have amazing players and coaches and we're looking for a Club Physiotherapist to join the team.

We are also looking for Sports Trainers, with training to be provided if needed.

If you love women's sport and are looking to make a real impact, we’d love to hear from you.

Today, we did more than just take the field for four points. By pulling on the jumper this ANZAC Day, we carried the legacy of those who once traded their local footy grounds for the front lines.

The mateship we spoke about in the rooms was the same bond that sustained those in the trenches—that simple, unwavering promise that we wouldn't let our mates down, no matter how hard the slog got.

We saw courage in every corner of the ground today:

In the players who stood their ground when their lungs were burning.

In the desperate smothers and tackles that won’t show up in the stats, but saved the game for the team.

In every person who put their body on the line to protect the teammate beside them.

As we stood for the silence and the Last Post, we were reminded that we are only able to play this game because of their sacrifice. We played hard, we played fair, and most importantly, we played for each other.

Lest we forget.
