It’s time to celebrate the incredible people who make sport in our Hastings community so special! 🌟

The Sunrise Hastings Sports Awards, proudly hosted by the Rotary Club of Port Macquarie Sunrise, is back in 2026 to recognise the athletes, teams, coaches and volunteers who have achieved, contributed and inspired others through sport across our region.

From the young athletes just beginning their sporting journey, to our senior competitors, dedicated coaches, volunteers and those achieving at the highest levels — this is your opportunity to shine a spotlight on the people who deserve to be recognised. 👏

⭐ Junior Sportsperson of the Year – Primary School Age
⭐ Junior Sportsperson of the Year – High School Age
⭐ Junior Team of the Year – 18 Years or Under
⭐ Senior Sportsperson of the Year

⭐ Sportsperson of the Year with a Disability
⭐ Sporting Volunteer of the Year
⭐ Coach of the Year
⭐ Excellence in Sporting Achievement

The Football Mid North Coast Youth Development Academy is a program in additional to club football. It was created to further develop our club football players and teach them skills to bring back to their club teams.

Attention all coaches 😎

This is an EOI for coaches interested in coaching positions in the Football Mid North Coast Youth Development Academy Coastal Program.

One huge success of 2026 has been providing opportunities for community footballers to join training squads to prepare for the NNSWF State youth Championships delivered by NNSWF each July.

FMNC had 8 teams attend this tournament in 2026 with all teams making finals and 3 teams earning champion status.

How this works.
Coaches complete EOI, are screened and selected to coach squads.

Players nominate to join the program, trial for positions and squads are formed.

Players must register to play in community football competitions.
Players will be representing Football Mid North Coast so will be supplied with a playing / training strip, FMNC Hoodie and backpack.

A training program is mapped out from February 2027 to July including fortnightly training sessions and trial games when available. Training is usually on a Monday night to avoid club training.

Players commit to playing at the NNSWF State Youth Championships.

Players and coaches agree to abide by relevant codes of conduct.

Coaching positions are available to coach the following age groups.

GIRLS under 13, 14, 15, 16 (or 15/16 combined)
BOYS under 13, 14, 15, 16 (or 15/16 combined)

​It's time to celebrate a fantastic season! Join us tomorrow at Boronia Park for our final Youth Development Academy Gala Day, followed by our end-of-season Presentation Ceremony.
