We watched the Coastrek Fleurieu Peninsula zoom info. They said it’s important to have specific roles within a team…

Meet the team

Kristy Collier aka ‘Maps’ (needs a compass)
Charmaine Caston aka ‘Media/snaps’ (needs her 9 year old to create reels)
Tenille Zwar aka ‘Snacks’ (didn’t attend today’s walk, had to remind ourselves when to eat 😳)

All for a great cause - 5 September we walk so check out the team fundraiser link in our bio ❤️

We kicked off our first adventure as a Minxy Trio by taking our newest minx, Tenille Zwar off into the wild unknown — all in the name of raising money and awareness for Beyond Blue 💙

Dressed in our finest non-matching activewear (call it chaotic-chic), we were wildly underprepared for the rain — except Kristy Collier, who wisely packed a rain jacket. It’s now at the top of the must-buy list for Tenille and me.

We started with 2 x Mini Minxes, equipped with their Kmart water packs and big grins. They lasted the first leg before being rescued by a knight in a muddy LandCruiser — off they went to more exciting Sunday activities.

Then came the moist part of the walk (yep, we’re leaning into it). The rain started gently, then poured. Goodbye dry shampoo, goodbye yesterday’s mascara — hello fresh faces and soggy socks.

Then… sunshine! So we stripped off. Then… more rain! So we layered up. All while trying to walk, and get photos. Starting to understand what influencers go through trying to get the right photo!

We managed 12.57km, with a pace we’re proud of — despite:
• Plenty of photo stops 📸
• One moment where we had to choose between water or dog poo when the wave came in 🌊
• A dodgy hip Charmaine Caston (hence all the post-walk pics of me are from behind — slow but steady)

We made it back with all Minxes intact. ✅
We even stretched! A lesson hard learned from previous walks.

Then it was straight into Sunday life — house cleaning, gardening, meal prep, and reflecting on the fact that we’re doing this for something bigger than us.

We’re walking to support Beyond Blue, to raise awareness and funds for mental health — and every soggy step is 100% worth it.

Follow our journey, donate if you can, and let’s keep talking about mental health — rain, shine, or dog poo dodging. 💙

❤️ Minx Charmaine
aka Social Chair because I can’t read maps and always forget snacks

What a great opportunity to test our limits - training in the elements, for the elements!
The rain made for a challenging yet exhilarating climb of Mount Greenly on the weekend as Mother Nature once again showcased her incredible power. 🌈🌧️🌊
