2026 SGL TEAM OF THE YEAR REPRESENTATIVES

CALEB RITTER
Caleb is a club leader and respected figure across the SGL competition for his ability as a strong consistent competitor who often takes a battering as an onballer. He is always high up in the best players and constantly puts his hand up for representative footy. Caleb was honoured with the SGL captaincy this year against Whyalla as a recognition of his leadership.

LUKE PAPARELLA
Luke is new player to the SGL after moving to Port Augusta with his partner Sam for work.
Luke has had a tremendous first season in the SGL. He is a constant threat around goals and is in the top handful in the competition with his blend of speed and finishing ability. Luke has played a large part in helping the team climb back up the ladder in 2026.

NATHAN HOUSTON
Hangers as he is known, is a high flyer who loves to take a big grab. Nathan’s first season at SAFC has been impressive as a half back flanker who likes to read the play and intercept to create turnover. Has had the occasional stint up forward and managed to sneak a couple of key goals throughout the year.

TRENT RITTER
Trent has played mainly as a Key forward with the occasional stint on ball as a big midfielder.
Trent is high up in the goal kicking across the competition and can be a tough match up when on, taking big grabs inside 50.
