🦊🧡 Investing in Our Coaches 🧡🦊

At Valley Vixens, we believe that great coaches never stop learning.

We encourage all coaches working with younger athletes to take advantage of this fantastic "Coach the Coaches" session being delivered by TNA Representative Convenor and Advanced Coach, Brooke Marjoribanks.

Having had the opportunity to watch Brooke coach and develop athletes, I can personally say that she is an incredible coach with a wealth of knowledge and experience. Her passion for developing players and coaches alike is evident in everything she does, and any opportunity to learn from her is one worth taking.

Opportunities like these are invaluable in helping coaches develop their skills, share ideas and continue providing the best possible experience for our players.

Valley Vixens will certainly be in attendance, as this also falls on our Toowoomba Netball Association Duty Day. We look forward to supporting TNA while also taking advantage of the opportunity to continue developing our coaching knowledge and skills.

Whether you're new to coaching or looking to further develop your knowledge, we highly recommend attending.

🦊🧡 What a Fantastic Open Day! 🧡🦊

Today, Valley Vixens had the pleasure of hosting our very first Open Day, and what an incredible day it has been!

We were thrilled with the fantastic attendance and the opportunity to meet so many players, families and community members interested in learning more about our club and what we are building.

There were plenty of questions answered, lots of conversations shared, and most importantly, plenty of smiles and laughter throughout the day.

A special mention must go to our OG Vixens, who once again led by example. They welcomed everyone with open arms, shared their experience and demonstrated exactly what it means to be a Valley Vixen. We couldn't be prouder of the way they represented our club.

Of course, it wouldn't be a Valley Vixens event without Felix 🦊, who was in full attendance throughout the day, supporting from the sidelines, meeting future Vixens and bringing plenty of smiles to everyone he met.

From future Vixens attending their first club event to our current players helping out throughout the day, it was wonderful to see everyone having fun and enjoying being part of our growing Vixens family.

Today was a reminder that Valley Vixens is about so much more than netball. It's about community, friendship, opportunity, and creating an environment where young people can thrive both on and off the court.

Thank you to everyone who attended, asked questions, showed their support and helped make today such a success. The future of Valley Vixens is incredibly bright, and we can't wait to welcome even more players and families into our club 🧡

At Valley Vixens, we know our players are talented on the netball court, but we also love celebrating their achievements away from the game.

A huge congratulations to our very own Kitten, Olivia Wallace, who recently competed in Stanthorpe and achieved some incredible results:

🦊🧡 Game Day Reflection 🧡🦊

Today didn't quite go our way on the scoreboard, but there were still plenty of positives to take away from the match.

The girls came out strong in the first quarter, showing the intensity, teamwork and netball we know they are capable of. After a challenging middle period, they dug deep and finished strongly in the final quarter, demonstrating resilience and determination right to the final whistle.

One of the biggest lessons from today's game is that sometimes the toughest opposition isn't standing at the other end of the court — it's the voice inside our own heads. Learning to back ourselves, trust our abilities and maintain belief when things don't go our way is all part of the journey.

As coaches, we have complete faith in this group. The talent is there. The work ethic is there. The heart is definitely there. Now it's about building the confidence and mindset to match.

We're proud of the way the girls continued to fight, support each other and never give up. We'll learn from today, grow from it, and come back stronger next week.

And as always, a huge thank you to our families and supporters who continue to cheer us on every week 🧡
