What a battle!

Making the trip from Brisbane Armwrestling Lab, Jacob Johnston "The Professor" stepped up to challenge one of PowerHouse's most dangerous pullers in Josh Hampson. With plenty of heart and a relentless press attack, Jacob came ready to test himself against high-level opposition.

But Josh showed exactly why he's become such a force on the table. Staying composed under pressure, his connection, control, and finishing power proved the difference as he shut down the attacks and secured the win.

These are the matches that make athletes better. No excuses. No shortcuts. Just two competitors willing to put it all on the line, learn, and grow.

Armwrestling just took a major step toward Brisbane 2032 and the dream of seeing our own athletes shine on home soil one day.

Following recent submissions to the Paralympic Games, para armwrestling has now met key participation criteria, with strong representation across more than 32 countries globally.

This is not confirmation of Paralympic inclusion, but it is an important step forward and a clear sign the sport is moving in the right direction.

With Brisbane 2032 on the horizon, Australia and Oceania have a unique opportunity to help showcase armwrestling on the world stage.

For our own para athletes, including World Championship silver medallist Simon Appleby, the chance to one day compete on home soil would be something truly special.

This sport has a place for everyone. Now we keep pushing. 💪🇦🇺
