It's taken me six long years to restore this one (as best it can be), but it's now up on the wall. Can you guess what year it's from? I need one more set of WAFL magnets (plus I will have to get magnets made for Peel and West Coast) to put it back into operation. I've not been able to source VFL/AFL magnets, so may need to get three sets of those made, too. One of my favourite acquisitions in recent years.

Love seeing a WA football great in this card set, released in SA this week. Graham Moss is a legend of WA footy and I would much prefer him to appear on a card featuring the state jumper than in a Victorian or VFL jumper. Details on purchasing the autographed card are in the link.

THE WA FOOTBALL JUMPER OVER TIME
Less than three weeks now until the State of Origin clash with Victoria. So I thought I would give everyone a look at some of my WA state jumpers, the oldest of which dates to the late 1930s. As you can probably tell, I've collected these over many years and am always on the lookout for more, especially if they are for any of the designs I don't yet have. I'll have another post for you with the rest of my state jumpers in the coming days. And then I'll start digging out the player jackets from the 1980s and 90s.

With the big State of Origin match fast approaching, the WA Museum will have a temporary exhibition on the iconic 1977 game at Boola Bardip in February. Today, I've dropped them several items from my collection on loan, including this jumper issued to Rob Wiley for the game. It's one of 55 WA state & state of origin jumpers now in my collection, but it's one of the absolute best. That said, I'm always looking for more.
