For those coming to Perth for our Inaugural PDA Conference Australia 2025 in November, here’s some good news from our Premier:

** 𝗜𝗠𝗣𝗢𝗥𝗧𝗔𝗡𝗧 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗙𝗘𝗥𝗘𝗡𝗖𝗘 𝗨𝗣𝗗𝗔𝗧𝗘 𝟬𝟲/𝟬𝟴/𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 **

1) 𝗧𝗜𝗖𝗞𝗘𝗧 𝗔𝗩𝗔𝗜𝗟𝗔𝗕𝗜𝗟𝗜𝗧𝗬
See update in table below - grant application outcomes should be known within the next fortnight! Stay tuned on this page.

2) 𝗞𝗘𝗬𝗡𝗢𝗧𝗘 𝗣𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡
Unfortunately one of our two fantastic Keynote Speakers, Kristy Forbes, has had to withdraw from speaking for personal reasons. Of course we are really disappointed that we won't get to meet Kristy and hear her great wisdom in person, however we understand that health and family always come first and respect Kristy's decision.

3) 𝗗𝗥𝗔𝗙𝗧 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗠
Our Conference Committee is working on updates to the Conference Program, which will be advised in coming months.

4) 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗖𝗘𝗦𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗥𝗘𝗚𝗜𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦 for specific benefit recipients
- Do you live in Western Australia?
- AND currently receive Carers Payment or Parenting Payment or Disability Support Pension or hold Low Income Health Care Card?
If the answer is yes to both questions and you would like to be considered for a subsidised/concession registration for in-person attendance at Conference or digital pass recording, please email [email protected] by Thursday 14th August.
A limited allocation of concession registrations for in-person attendance or digital pass recording will be offered in August/September to eligible applicants. The number of regos offered will depend on our grant application outcomes.
PLEASE NOTE - you will ONLY be considered if you i) email us with ii) proof of receipt of current benefit payment and iii) photo ID in the same name as benefit and iv) specify if you can attend in-person or prefer a digital pass recording and v) the email is received by 14/08/2025. No other requests will be considered eligible.

5) 𝗥𝗨𝗥𝗔𝗟/𝗥𝗘𝗚𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗟 𝗪𝗔 𝗘𝗢𝗜
If you submitted an EOI for a bursary/subsidies earlier this year to attend the Conference, you will be advised of the outcome of your application later this month (once we know the outcome of our grant applications). Stay tuned! If you submitted an EOI but are no longer able to attend the Conference in person, please let us know immediately - thank you (via email to [email protected]).

6) 𝗢𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗥 𝗦𝗖𝗛𝗢𝗟𝗔𝗥𝗦𝗛𝗜𝗣𝗦 & 𝗦𝗨𝗕𝗦𝗜𝗗𝗜𝗘𝗦
A limited allocation of scholarships and/or subsidies will be available to Australians with disability/disabled Australians attending our Conference as delegates and speakers. Stay tuned for an update on this page. We will announce any availability so PLEASE don't flood our inbox with requests, as we do not have the capacity to respond at this very busy period of conference organisation (we're all volunteer PDA parents and work part or full time amongst other roles). Thank you.

Pending grant application outcomes, we hope to release an allocation of heavily subsidised registrations &/or travel allowance for those in receipt of Carer's Payment, Parenting Payment, Disability Support Pension or holding a Low Income HCC. Current Photo ID & verification of current pension receipt in the same name will be required to apply for these tickets.
Pending grant application outcomes, we also hope to offer an allocation of heavily subsidised registrations for Australians living in rural / regional / remote locations &/or Australians with disability / disabled Australians (whichever terminology you prefer). We may offer subsidised in-person registrations and/or digital passes.
