“There are only 2 people you need to satisfy by the way you live your life. They are not your parents, not your husband or wife, not your children, or your manager. They are YOU at 8 and 88 years old...”
..Because if these 2 people are not happy, who cares about the rest?
The life will go fast and we’ll be just running like a hamster in the wheel, working, paying taxes, and buying stuff we don’t really need to please or impress people we don’t care about, until one day we wake up dead.
That’s the truth… It happens a lot.
If we are lucky, we have people we love and care for, and they love and care for us.
They are our blessings! It's so important to tell them that we love them.
The three most common regrets of dying people, as highlighted by various studies, are typically:
1. Not living true to themselves
2. Working too much
3. Not maintaining relationships
I don’t know what your age is today but the chances are you can still make an effort and live your life to make your 8 and 88-year-old versions of You proud.
👉Do what makes you happy. Make a list of those things and do them daily.
👉Take a day off or a holiday. Go places, go out with your friends. If they are far away, ring them often.
👉Forgive… Forgive them all. Write an apology letter to yourself from anybody who ever hurt you, read it, and let go.
👉Be your biggest supporter. Say thank you to your inner critic and become best friends with your inner advocate.
👉 Smile and laugh more! Life is too short to be serious. Yes, you can be serious when needed but for most of it, smile and have fun.
🏆But, step number 1 is... time travel to your 8 and 88-year-old self, give them a hug, and ask them to remind you what will make them proud of you the most, and then find a way to do that. You still have time...
Keep shining and keep smiling! ✨✨
Have a super powerful day! 💖
