HUGE THANK YOU IN PARTICULART TO EVERYBOD IN PHOTO BELOW FOR HELP WITH MARATHON NATIONALS
and to Richard Molek, Martin Watson, Sue O’Rourke & Ray Smith who were not there.

Thank you to you in particular for the work you put in in the lead up to the event and during it.

Ray Smith:
Input to the registration and then creation of almost complete start lists to hand over to Bob. Bob, John Young and some of the rest of us are keen to see how the automation process for that functions

Richard Molek:
Wise council on rule compliance and application during planning, preparation of all the race-day paperwork and great work on the ground as Safety Officer and Competition Manager during the event

Martin Watson:
Compilation of the budget, processing of payments, compilation of accounts, processing of entry changes [which was a marathon in itself]. Active particpant on the timing deck

Louise Greenwood:
Visiting Chief Course Umpire, we benefited from the experienced help and learned a lot

Anita Haarmann:
Coordinating volunteers in a very proactive and resourceful fashion and with minimum of help

Peter Martin;
Preparation of course materials, planning for and management of all onshore facilities and the portage during the event

Bob Turner:
Extensive input to the registration, preparation of all start lists, supervision and mentoring of the timing deck, advice to Competition Manager on a number of useful points, publishing of results

Derek Cross:
WA team manager, communication interface between race management and WA team, never ending compilation and communication of entry changes

Terry Bolland:
Design, procurement, installation and testing for the course

Veronica Haarmann:
Coordinating volunteers in a very proactive and resourceful fashion and with minimum of help

Leanne Hampson:
Securing of grants from Local Gov and Belmont. Preparation and maintenance of Guidebook. Preparation of fliers and posters

Warren Southwell:
Coordination of support boats and drivers and portage & exit pontoon work.

Sue O’Rourke:
Visiting Chief Course Umpire, we benefited from the experienced help and learned a lot

Grateful thanks to our sponsors and supporters. Department of Local Government, Sport and Culture, Healthway, City of Belmont, Perth Airport, Ascot Kayak Club, Bennett Paddles, Sunbuild Constructions, Dr Benjamin Hewitt and Apollo Scaffolding.
