I am here because I have been there and know the pain of being trapped. When I was 35, I was diagnosed with clinical depression and soon found myself viewing po*******hy and, shortly after, in a life-or-death struggle with unwanted sexual behaviours. For two years, I went through a binge-purge cycle as I tried everything to stop but found myself going back again and again. Then one day, something

dawned on me: I couldn't get free alone and needed someone with compassion, biological, psychological and spiritual insight, as well as lived experience to help me get free and move forward. That was a wise decision; now I've been on this sacred journey for seventeen years and have been paying it forward since then. During this time, I learned that just as sexual and po*******hy addiction becomes a brain problem rooted in trauma with patterns and rituals, freedom involves renewing the brain, healing the heart and developing new patterns and a new journey that free a man to enjoy life again. I invite you to discover this journey with me to taste freedom and live a fulfilling life. Internet po*******hy is draining the life out of so many followers of Jesus. And they are being told that if they "just stop it" and 'try harder" it will go away. Exercising willpower when the will is weakened and the brain is habituated is like telling a he**in addict to just stop it. Once emotional pain sets in, the brain fires on an automatic sequence and you will end up where you promised yourself and God you would never go again. This is why statistics are now saying that 68% of men and 50% of Pastors are struggling sexually and losing the battle. And the "just stop it" message means that this is simply going to get worse. The only answer is the good news of Jesus Christ and proper biblical-clinical discipleship. There is hope. The brain can be renewed and the soul can be healed. There is a way to live without the burden of a double life. The shed blood of Jesus guarantees that there is a way out. You need only begin to take steps in the right direction. One of the enemy's greatest strategies isn't always temptation.
—Sometimes it's isolation.

Because when a man starts pulling away from the people who keep him grounded, he's more likely to believe lies than truth.

I've seen it happen.

A man misses church for a while.

Stops answering messages.

Keeps everything bottled up.

Before long, the battle in his mind becomes harder because there's nobody speaking truth into it.

That's why biblical recovery isn't a solo journey.We need brothers who will ask how we're really doing.

A pastor who isn't afraid to speak truth.

People who will pray with us, encourage us, and challenge us when we're drifting.

God didn't create us to carry these battles in silence.

He gave us the Church. He gave us a new family —true fellowship.

He gave us men who can stand beside us when we're weak.

If you've been withdrawing lately, don't stay there.
