Can you help this club member?

Asking for my dad. He’s got a 2013 defender 110 puma. A few years back he had immobiliser changed as it faulted. It’s now in with mechanic because now the remote fob won’t open car. Open with key, car starts but then cuts out. It’s back with mechanic and they can’t work out what’s wrong.
Any ideas?

Club members have recently returned from “Brazier Revisited”, following on from our June Brazier Exploring trip in search of Noel Brazier’s historic survey markers.

This time, a few more pieces of the puzzle were found, along with one particularly special task — installing a preservation box to help protect a survey peg that has already survived an incredible 132 years. With its location and surrounds leaving it vulnerable, hopefully our efforts will give this little piece of history the best chance of surviving for another 132.
