Sometimes it’s not filler you’re looking for… it’s definition. 💋

A subtle change in colour, tone and shape can completely transform the appearance of the lips, making them look fuller, softer and more balanced without adding volume.

My client felt her Cupid’s bow was quite pointed and her natural lip tone was uneven. By refining the shape and balancing the colour, we’ve created a beautifully soft, symmetrical result.

This is immediately after treatment, the colour will fade by around 30–50%, leaving behind a soft, natural tint and beautifully defined lips. ✨

Daniella has a gorgeous lip shape but felt like she wanted to even out her lip tone, she has been reaching for her favourite lippy so I created a subtle lip blush that will enhance her lip shape without over powering on those no make up days.

It’s all about the gentle touches, the ones that create confidence each and every day we wake up 💋

There’s something so lovely about creating for someone you don’t know, being trusted with a little piece of their story and making something that feels completely theirs.

But there’s another kind of magic in creating for someone whose story has been intertwined with your own for so many years. 👯‍♀️

My beautiful friend

We’ve danced in the dust at Burning Man, smoked ci**rs in Cuba, hiked to the Lost City in Colombia and sailed through the San Blas Islands in Panama. We’ve travelled, adventured, laughed, cried, and made our way through all of life’s ups, downs and roundabouts together. 🎢🛼

So many places, so many stories, and so many versions of ourselves tucked into the years of this friendship.

There’s something I’ve noticed in our industry… 👀

We’re very quick to invest in the next course, the next trainer, the next technique, hoping this will be the thing that makes everything click. 💡

And sometimes, another course really is what we need.

But sometimes… we just need to practise what we’ve already been taught.

Of course trainers should be accountable for the education they provide.

But I think we need to be comfortable talking about student accountability too.

Did we practise? Did we submit the work? Did we implement the feedback? Did we actually give it enough time?

Learning Nano taught me this more than anything.

My trainer once told me:

“If you work, I will work.”

I can give my students my knowledge, feedback, corrections and support.

But I can’t practise for them.

Paying for the course is one part of the investment.
Your time is the other. 🤍

🩸 PMU & your period. Does it make a difference?

You may notice a little more pinpoint bleeding during a PMU treatment around your period, but it’s not because your period “thins your blood.” That’s a common misconception.

🧬 Fluctuations in hormones such as oestrogen and progesterone can affect pain sensitivity, inflammation and vascular responses, meaning your skin may feel more sensitive and react a little differently during treatment.

🩸 Some clients may therefore notice a little more bleeding or tenderness, while others notice no difference at all.

✨ You don’t need to reschedule your PMU appointment just because you’re on your period. But if you know you tend to feel particularly sensitive, uncomfortable or generally not your best at that point in your cycle, it’s something you might want to consider when choosing your appointment date.

Every body, and every cycle, is different. 🤍
