Coaching Clinic

This clinic is all about building skills and learning the right technique from the start. Our coaches will make sure everyone has a fun and enjoyable experience while focusing on the fundamentals that help athletes improve.

Whether you are a beginner or at a state level, good technique is the key to improving your performance.

Education Course

Are you an age manager, parent helper, aspiring or current youth coach, or PE teacher seeking to further develop your skills for your school carnival or local athletics program?

We are pleased to offer a complimentary course designed to provide participants with the knowledge and practical skills required to coach, officiate, or volunteer at local Athletics Clubs and School Carnivals.

This course is an excellent opportunity to build confidence, enhance your understanding of athletics events, and contribute positively to the development of young athletes within your community.

🥉 Congratulations to our very own Vashti Williams on an incredible achievement at the Oceania Athletics Championships in Darwin!

Representing Australia, Vashti threw her way to a Bronze Medal in the Women’s U16 Javelin — an amazing result on the international stage. 🇦🇺

We are so proud of your hard work, dedication and determination. What an experience and achievement for a talented young athlete from Parkes Little Athletics!

🌟 GOOD LUCK VASHTI 🌟

Everyone at Parkes Little Athletics would like to congratulate Vashti Williams who is representing Australia at the Oceania Athletics Championships in Darwin tomorrow! 🇦🇺

Vashti will be competing in the Women’s U16 Javelin and we are incredibly proud of her achievement and all the hard work and dedication she has shown to reach this level.

Vashti competes tomorrow, Friday at 10:50am.

We wish Vashti the very best of luck and can’t wait to follow along and cheer her on from Parkes! 💚💛

A huge congratulations to our three incredible athletes who represented NSW on the national stage! We are so proud of your efforts, determination, and the way you represented our club.

👏 Toby Morgan (U15 Para)
What an outstanding championships, competing across multiple events:
• 100m – 18.86 (7th)
• 200m – 38.74 (6th)
• 400m – 1:39.72 (8th, SB)
• 800m – 4:05.77 (6th, PB)
• 1500m – 9:39.26 (3rd, SB 🥉)
• Long Jump – 2.69m (7th, PB)

How long have you been involved in Little Athletics?
4 seasons

Who inspires you in athletics?
Cameron McEntyre – Vashti was coached by Cameron through LEAP, where he made a lasting impression on her and helped develop her passion and ability in throwing.

Biggest achievement so far:
Placing 3rd and winning a bronze medal at Nationals in Perth last year for Javelin, as well as securing back-to-back qualification for Nationals again this year – an incredible achievement! 🥉

Pre-competition snack:
Banana or a protein bar 🍌

Lucky item or routine:
Vashti doesn’t have a set routine – she prefers to go with the flow and let how she’s feeling on the day guide her warm-up and preparation.
