From the Committee - Condition of Courts
As you are all no doubt aware, there are problems with seams on courts 1 to 4 but especially courts 1 and 4. Sections have been rising and are a potential trip hazard. This can be a particular problem after very hot days and the condition of the courts vary due to the impact of rain and temperature. We are reluctant to lock the courts and prevent access to members because of the variability of condition but ask that all members undertake a "safety check" prior to using the courts and do not use a court that presents a safety risk. We do not want any members to be injured. We are making enquiries to arrange repairs but our preferred supplier has no time to effect repairs for a couple of months so we need to find somebody else.
Court Resurfacing -
We are continuing to work with council on the rebuilding of courts. The last advice from them was that they had extended the tender period to the 8th of February. We are hoping for and anticipating feedback by the end of February regarding contractor selection, cost and scheduling. The current condition of the courts only highlights the importance of this project to the club.
Please put safety first for you and your children.
