Wishing you all the best day spent with friends, family, and the people who fill your cup

Enjoy the food, the laughs, and the chocolate too 🍫

But here’s your little reminder heading into today; Easter isn’t a free-for-all that undoes all your progress, and it’s definitely not a reason to fall into the “I’ll start again Monday” trap.

You can enjoy yourself and stay on track

✔ Move your body (even if it’s just a walk)
✔ Eat your normal meals around the extras
✔ Be present, not mindless

Because one day doesn’t make or break your results… your habits do

So enjoy it, be intentional, and keep showing up for yourself 👊🏼

& trust me I’m speaking from experience.

I’ve dealt with back pain for my entire life, (shoutout to the scoliosis gang, you know what it’s like) and I’ve had countless chiro, physio and osteo appointments and while these are great for short term relief, your back is only going to slip back into the position it was before.

Since I started strength training 10 years ago my back has honestly never been better, osteo visits are less frequent (I still have an adjustment every 6-8 weeks with Belinda .libbis.osteopathy, thanks 😘) and overall I’m able to get through the days with ease!

Now there may very well be other issues arising that aren’t as easily fixed as what I’m suggesting but 9 times out of 10 the fundamental problem is a weakness in your posterior muscles.

Mis-alignment, tilted hips and even slippy discs can (once assessed, corrected and re-aligned by a professional) be more easily managed and effectively controlled through strengthening your posterior, and YES this means your glutes & hamstrings.

Often stretching will only make the issue worse and only give you temporary relief, your muscles aren’t firing and stretching only puts them to sleep more!
