The Officer Cricket Club’s Annual General Meeting will be held on Monday 6th of May. Location Starling Road Recreational Reserve, Officer Sports Club rooms commencing at 7pm.

All executive and general committee positions will become vacant on the night and a new committee will be elected to take our great club forward into the future.

As the club continues its rapid growth in player numbers and with several existing committee members taking a well-earned break. More than ever, we need the help of new people to become involved in committee base and off committee roles.

Even if you can’t be part of the next committee it is possible to take on a role which supports our club. It’s important that as many members attend on the night so achieve the required minimum numbers of members needed to conduct the meeting.
Please attend and don’t miss the opportunity to make your voice count in the future of our club.

After Saturday's Senior Presentation we have been asked why some awards are named after players and others are not.

Thought it was a great opportunity to remind / educate our members on some club history.

Player of the year awards.
Voted on by Umpires/ Opposition Captain.

Named after players who have won the league Player of the Year in that grade.

Only exception is our top grade winner receives the Malcom Tivendale Shield, named in honour of Life Member, player, administrator and club legend, the late Malcom Tivendale.

Other grades as follows

District- Ash Smith Medal (unfortunately will only be struck when District is our 2nd XI)
A Grade - Tivendale / Cornell / Irvine medal ( Ash Tivendale / Simon Cornell & Dan Irvine)
B Grade - B grade Player of the Year
C Grade - Robert Young / Brent Pullen Medal
D Grade - Tony Smith / Steve Pursell Medal
E Grade - Dowsett / Whitelaw / vanegiden / Karawugodage medal ( Rob Dowsett / Nick Whitelaw / Skeeta Vanegiden / Anj Karawugodage)
F Grade - Ross Moody / Rick Marshall medal
*Note there have been players that have received multiple League player of the year awards.

Paul Simon award - contribution to junior Club.
Named in honour of Officer and WGCA Life Member Paul Simon.
Paul or "Gotts" as he is affectionately known is a long serving player and administrator of not only OCC but also WGCA
