Perfectly formed pools filled with 40 degree warm water cascading down the hillside until it reached the cool stream below, simply sublime :)

Leaving the village and the great friends we made behind it's time to hit the beach. After only 3 nights on Lao Liang the group were convinced they wanted to return to Thailand every year.

This place is as close to a climbers paradise as you could ask.

Glamping on a tropical beach, our tents only metres away from the coral reef & first of many super cool tufa ridden climbs the group were up at sunrise every day and didn't stop the adventures even when the sun went down! :)

With a life time of rock located WITHIN the centre of town, the group lay seige to the routes I have been slowly been putting up here over the years since my time as a school teacher in the local primary school.

Joined by some Thai friends and their kids we had a great time introducing rock climbing to the local youth. These guys were naturals!

With all my hardest climbs "ticked" its time to pick up the drill and make some more routes for our next trip!

After a long and adventurous night train ride down south from Bangkok we spent the next 3 days in a quaint and picturesque little town in the Surat Thani province.

The region well known for it's tropical fruits, rubber tree plantations and cave systems gave the group plenty of opportunities for post climbing activities

The groups first taste of Thai limestone was at Nam Pha Pa Yai climbers camp in Saraburi. Such a cool set up with cool routes, great food and the most fun you can ever have getting to the crag...by zip line :)

After a late night session climbing at Rock Domain we made our way north of Bangkok to the former Thai Capital, Ayutthaya to visit the ancient ruins of the city.

Finally, it's happening!

I'd been promising I'd take the Stone Monkeys to Thailand for years.

11 amazing days of climbing, cultural exchanges and great times :)

First port of call, the brand new Rock Domain, Bangkok; Thailand's largest indoor climbing gym. Despite arriving at the centre at almost midnight Sydney time we were all keen to test out the amazing bouldering and climbing this place had to offer.
