It’s back… new and improved.

The Diamond League – Singles returns with a refreshed format built for consistency, competition, and a stronger overall player experience.

🔥 League Details:
• Open to FargoRate 650 and below
• 8 Ball played on 7ft Diamond tables
• Capped at 32 players
• Played across Wednesday & Thursday nights
• You will compete on one night only (against 15 players)
• Round robin format (play each player twice)
• 10-week season
• 5-frame matches on a match clock
• Points-based system with bonus scoring opportunities
• Structured ladder + finals series

➡️ The field will be split during the season, then combined for finals — where the best from each night go head-to-head.

💰 Entry: $500 per player
(Secures your full season – limited spots available)

📅 Start Date:
Planned for 15 April, subject to confirmed numbers.
If required, the start date may be pushed back 1–2 weeks to ensure a full and competitive field.

Diamond League – Condolences
It is with great sadness that we acknowledge the passing of Nathan Reese.

Nathan was genuinely one of the good people in pool. He was a loyal supporter of the Diamond League and CueWorld, a strong competitor, and someone who was widely respected and well-liked both on and off the table.

He always brought humour into the room, never took himself too seriously, and consistently stood up for the little guy.

As a small business owner, Nathan understood the challenges that come with building something from the ground up, and we connected on that level.

He was generous with his time, honest in his views, and supportive of the broader cue sports community.

Nathan did share with me privately that he was facing a medical battle, and out of respect for his family, that is where it remains.

Our sincere condolences go to Natalie and his family during this incredibly difficult time.

Rest in peace, my friend.

You will be missed.

🎱Diamond League Finals🎱

The most recent Diamond League Finals at Club9 delivered a high-quality weekend of competition, professionalism, strong sportsmanship and $20,000 in prizes!

Special thanks to Kate Harrison (League Manager) for her outstanding support in assisting League Operator Stuart Rogers with the smooth delivery of the event. We also acknowledge the Club9 team for making all players feel welcome while providing excellent playing conditions and competitive food and beverage pricing.

Champions – Repeat Offenders
Kamal Melhem (Captain), Tony Habib, Maher El Omari, Mitchell Tucker

Captain Kamal Melhem praised Diamond League as “the best league in Sydney, hands down,” and also spoke highly of Club9, which many consider the leading cue sports venue in the country.

The finalists were Pressure:
Sam Deere (Captain), Richard Fuchs, Mohamad El Raffi, Victor Caringal.

With 20 teams competing, the finals featured several tightly contested matches, including one draw that was ultimately decided by the popular Scotch Triples format.

While the double-points round remains a topic of debate, it continues to create pressure scenarios and comeback opportunities, reinforcing Diamond League’s philosophy of keeping matches competitive until the final frame.

The event ran close to schedule, reflecting strong planning and match management. For future finals, organisers are considering a Friday night session to reduce time pressure and allow for an earlier Sunday finish, potentially attracting more spectators. Feedback from players and supporters is welcome.

🎱 Diamond League Season 27 🎱

We’re excited to announce that Diamond League Season 27 is now open for registrations!

📅 League Starts: 9 February
💰 Team registration deposit: $120
This updated deposit includes:
• Finals green fees
• $30 admin fee
(a reduction from the previous $200)

Please be aware that team spots are not secured until registration and deposit are completed.

We will be initially running:
• Monday & Tuesday nights
• Wednesday night will open if numbers require

As we head into the festive break, we’d like to wish you all a great Christmas and New Year and thank you for the support and good competition throughout the year.

We’re looking forward to welcoming everyone back for the new Diamond League season at Club9.

We’re also working on a Singles League for 2026, planned for Wednesdays and played across both 7ft and 9ft tables for a higher challenge. More details to come soon.

🎱Diamond League Singles - 2025🎱

This season we held a brand new Singles League. 16 players competed over 10 weeks with a 20 point scalping system.

Timed matches, many points won and lost, it has been an exciting new venture for the Diamond League.

Congratulations to all of our players who competed. Especially to our top 6 who won some well earned dollars for their efforts.

Equal 5th/6th - Simon Felice & Mike Dogan
4th Place - David Fogarty
3rd Place - Phil Campbell

The final was a nail biter, with the top two players from the regular season battling it out. Both proving all season they were the ones to beat.

Las Vegas Showdown – Finals Reminder

The Las Vegas Showdown Finals are fast approaching, taking place on 17–18 January 2026.

Now is the time for teams to lock in preparation and stay match-ready over the festive season break. Maintaining form through the holidays can make the difference when finals arrive.

For any teams looking to sharpen their game, off-peak table rates are available and offer excellent value throughout the holiday period. It’s an ideal opportunity to get quality practice time in a relaxed environment while others are off-season.

We have just been given the very sad news that a much-loved member of our Diamond League family, Lisa Milne, has passed away after her long and courageous battle with cancer.

Lisa was one of the kindest and most gentle people in our community. Even through the toughest moments, she carried a smile and always had kind words to share. She was a true supporter of the Diamond League—while she was unable to play, she loved her nights out at league, scoring matches, encouraging her teammates, and being part of the atmosphere she enjoyed so much.

Another valued member of our community has been taken far too soon. Though her loss is deeply felt, there is some solace in knowing her struggle is over and she is now at peace.

On behalf of the Diamond League and Club9 community, I extend my sincere condolences to Lisa’s family and friends. She will be remembered with warmth, respect and gratitude.

Rest peacefully, Lisa. 🖤🎱
