The way we offer attention changes our experience.

This is part of why Zenthai Shiatsu is such medicine. Beyond being bodywork therapy - to touch, to receive, with unconditional focused attentiveness - this is a form of love.

And the kind of connection the world deeply needs.

Through it, we remember that separation is an illusion. We recognise what matters. What it means to care, and be cared for.

Next Saturday 8/8/26 I’ll be sharing some of the key principles and an accessible mini-sequence of gestures as part of a 3hr exploration called The Wisdom of Winter. We’ll explore solo movement, partner yoga, and guided bodywork, all themed around a Taoist / Chinese Medicine lens on the energy of winter, and the element of water.

Take with you self-practices and a more embodied sense of touch, which you can weave into your own daily practices, as well as offer to friends and family.

More vocab with which to gift the language of care.

So excited to share more. Thanks • estuary yoga • for hosting 🫶🏽

Emotions have been the seeds which forests our biographies, our his(her)stories, the mythologies which shape culture and continents.

It is what gives colour to the form of our lives. Sometimes it’s far from pleasurable, and sometimes so intensely beautiful we wish it to last an eternity. And all the hues in between.

But like the light of each day, colours are perceptions. As sunlight changes, our perceptions also evolve.

For me there’s been huge waves of deep feeling lately. And it all needs to be moved through. This is me from the weekend, needing to let something I couldn’t identify move through. As Gil of 𝐀𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐈 - MOVEMEANT & THEATRE offers - ‘Sense it, without always needing to make sense of it.’

As one who tends to overthink - this is a significant shift in how to be with the heat, the tenderness, the aching, the fluttering, the floating.

Maybe we need to return to the earliest language of the body, before words. It can be dance. Yoga asana. Running. Rolling on the grass. Receiving bodywork. Tai chi. Diving into ocean. Punching a pillow. A complete breath, intentionally journeyed with.

To simply let something move, have space to be felt, in its wholeness. And to be loved into belonging - that is, offered the nonjudgemental attentiveness which lets it be seen rather than fixed, and allows it time to dissolve.

If you’ve been needing some TLC, and a held space is supportive - I’ll be offering Zenthai shiatsu sessions on Thursdays and select other times of the week upon request. This practice can move body and being beyond what words can describe, and something to be felt.

It can be incredible to sense what emerges, after we choose to tend to the seed of what’s wanting to be known, with sincerity, curiosity and honesty. To water what matter, and go lightly with the rest 🪶

Take care friends, whatever you are sensing through.

“Water is fluid, soft, and yielding. But water will wear away rock, which is rigid and cannot yield. As a rule, whatever is fluid, soft, and yielding will overcome whatever is rigid and hard. This is another paradox: what is soft is strong.”

— Lao Tzu

Winter is the season of water. Not afraid to sink to the deepest and darkest, the lowest and slowest of places. Water is a reminder of the wisdom and trust which lives far beneath noise and novelty. The kind of stillness which dispels fear, patient in unwinding the tangle of stories which keep us believing in a separate self.

Water holds all the memories of this world. Through the minerals it harvests from rock faces and sea shells, through its multitude of forms from wave to river to mist. It kisses everything with a blessing of touch. It is the essence allowing for life to become.

We are made of water. We contain its essence. And we get to choose what we will hydrate with attentiveness, with patience, rest, and the quiet listening wisdom of this inward season, so that what is important can emerge with vitality in the Spring.

This sequence captures the sweeping nature of water, its embrace, the emergence of growth from the depths, the activation of spine and back body in poise and balance, the return to stillness and centre.

Gratitude Dr Sally Taylor ~ Eingana Natural Therapies Sally and Yuta Gwyn Williams for sharing this sequence, and for what you have taught me about the embodiment of imagination, wisdom and the quiet power of will.

‘Hati hati’ is a phrase you’d often hear as a farewell in Bali.
Contextually, it communicates ‘slowly slowly’, or ‘go with care’.
Literally, ‘hati’ translates to ‘heart’.

To move slowly, with care, and with heart.

In our accelerating, noisy, rambunctious and complex world, this feels like medicine. And it has been such medicine to support Gwyn Williams and Dr Sally Taylor ~ Eingana Natural Therapies as they weave their magic in sharing zenthai shiatsu, and the wisdom of TCM. Deep gratitude and delight for this opportunity to continue learning and unlearning, to be amongst so many new and returning friends, and to experience again, the lush embrace of mama Bali.

Many many bows in all directions, for the joyous and generous experiences shared, the shadow and the light, the play and the prayer, all in belonging as we learn to return to the heart. I am humbled by the journeys you all walk, and our shared practice of becoming increasingly creative and conscious in the continual dance of Tri Hita Karana: connection to self, to nature, and to the unnameable divine.

Hati hati. 🐢🤍✨

Focused intention and intimate attention, with a view of the wider connections between all things. When we move and meet ourselves and each other this way, it is medicine for a distracted, and distress-filled world.

This session brings together some of my biggest loves: attentive movement, connection through touch, and landscaping the body through an elemental lens - in this case, water. For me these practices inspire pleasure, wonder, awe, and growing compassion for the human body and experience.

Walk away with a richer understanding of how we can move with the season of Winter, and ways to connect with yourself and others with deeper attunement. If you’re feeling shy or uncertain about bodywork (understandable, as many of us are not taught how to tend to each other through touch), this might be a gateway towards experiencing and sensing more capacity in how we meet this very human and primal experience of care. Everything will be offered invitationally, in a welcoming a sincere small group environment.

I am so excited to share more. If you’re curious to have a taste of this, I’ll also be facilitating a a free • estuary yoga • community event on Sunday 19 July, which weaves in some of these elements.

Sat 8 Aug, 2-5pm

Deep bows to Gwyn Williams and the practice of Zenthai Shiatsu for all of its evolving potency, to guide us towards returning to wholeness.

Leadership is an inside job. It is holding and guiding, without confining. It is cultivating connection, guiding towards what is conducive for understanding. Leadership is resourced by descent and ascent.

You must know the caves, and the sky.
It is about grounding, and about freedom.

Leadership is not about power over. It is power to, and em-powerment. You can only lead others - that is to say, free others - to the extent that you have led and freed yourself.

Feeling this season of being slowed down, peeled open, revealed, and no longer choosing to hide in the shadows of convenient and seemingly safer old stories.

Grateful for all the guides around me who light up the dark and difficult moments by simply being true and real and in process.

It is all a process, and a practice, of becoming more fully human, and more wholly alive.

Join us for an afternoon of tending to ourselves and each other, through movement, touch and the sharing of food. These are embodied languages of being fluid with change, beholding with care, and nourishing the bodies we are gifted with generosity from the land.

This is an opportunity to practice widening our hearts, so we can quieten from the static of the world, and come together with deeper, steadier presence.

Experience the essence of what community can mean, why it matters, and tangible ways we can take this into the world.

Thrilled to be part of another gathering • estuary yoga • - save the date for Sunday 19 July, booking link will be updated later this week! ⚡️

Winter is a time of regeneration. In Chinese medicine this is a season of deep listening, patience, and the simplicity of stillness. Winter is linked to the water element, to our adrenal health, and the polarities of wisdom and fear. It provides a time of reflecting on our relationship to energy: our capacity to hone, direct and conserve this vital resource within our bodies.

How can we live each moment from a wiser, deeper attunement, rather than being pushed and pulled by ripples of fear?

It requires devotion to spaciousness and silence. To let the waves settle towards still lake, until what remains unchanging and true is revealed through the clear waters.

Emma (Happy Axe) and Lucy guide you with sound and voice through knowledge-sharing, breathwork, Qi Gong forms and yin shapes, to encourage fluidity, spaciousness and ease. Receive hands-on massage from Lucy and fellow zenthai shiatsu practitioners, to enrich your experience through the incomparable connection of touch. We complete the experience with a moment of integration, shared earthy treats and tea.

This is an invitational, encouraging space held in community. Arrive as you are - all we ask is for an openness to be with what comes and goes.

Zenthai shiatsu allows an opportunity for the receiver to be held, in unconditional care, in deep listening, as they are — and gives the therapist an opportunity to offer care wholeheartedly. And when we practice loving in this way, often without need for words and explanations, it evokes a language far more primal and true.

Truthful acceptance of each other, and a given situation, is essential and fertile ground for healing. As offers, “Enough might be love’s other name.”

We must always tend to our own hearts, first. For an abandoned heart mistakes conflict for connection, and will take anything rather than nothing.

When do we offer ourselves the grace of ‘enough’? Can we truly offer this enough-ness to another without first learning to gift this to ourselves?

A few spots left for this Sunday’s Zenthai community clinic at - a chance to share space, be held and be moved in a way specific to your current needs.

More info and booking links in profile 🫀

Ps. If you’re new to Zenthai - the timelapse does not reveal how spiralling, sloooow and sumptuous the realtime experience is 🫶🏽
