Kabul Knight Riders vs Black Tigers

Kabul Knight Riders won the toss and elected to bat first, looking to put a strong total on the board. The innings got off to a positive start, with the top order keeping the scoreboard moving through the powerplay.

Tomas Conaghan 33 off 28 balls 💪🏻🫶🏽and Navneel Kumar 32 from just 20 deliveries 🔥🏏 anchored the innings and put a valuable 58 runs partnership. Although a couple of wickets fell in quick succession, the batting unit still continued to attack.

The standout performance came from Mohammad Jamil Afghanyar 👏🏽💪🏽🔥, who remained unbeaten on a brilliant 50 off 34 balls*, playing a great knock under pressure. He was well supported by Awais Rafiq 💥⚡️, who finished unbeaten on 24 from 15 balls*, with the pair sharing an important unbeaten partnership of 61 runs to guide Kabul Knight Riders to a competitive total of 5/166 (20).

Awais Rafiq 🎯 set the tone with a brilliant opening spell, conceding just 6 runs in 2 overs while picking up an early wicket to put the Black Tigers under immediate pressure.

Mohabatpal Singh Batth 🔥 💪🏽continued the momentum with an excellent spell of 2/30 from 4 overs, claiming two crucial wickets at key moments.
Hekmatullah Hedayatullah 💥⚡️bowled with great control, finishing with 1/17 from 3 overs, keeping the scoring rate in check. Mohammad Jamil Afghanyar 💥⚡️🔥👏🏽delivered an economical spell of 4 overs, 1 maiden, 22 runs, applying constant pressure despite going wicketless.

Nasibullah Hedayatullah 💪🏽⚡️👏🏽was the standout performer with the ball, producing a great spell of 3/30 from his 4 overs and Abdul Jamily🎯 also made an important contribution, taking 2/11 from 2 overs.

Kabul Knight Riders vs Maitland Monsters 🌧️

On a wet and rainy day, Kabul Knight Riders won the toss and elected to bowl first against the Maitland Monsters.

The Monsters got off to a strong start, racing to 57 runs in the powerplay. However, the momentum shifted dramatically when Sam Ghallagher was introduced into the attack in the 7th over. Sam struck with a quick double breakthrough, putting the opposition under pressure and bringing KKR right back into the contest 👏🏽🔥💪🏽🏏.

From the other end, Abdul Jamily bowled with great discipline, claiming another two crucial wickets to ensure the game remained firmly under KKR’s control. 🎯 ⚡️

It was fantastic to see Jamil Afghanyar return from injury with an impressive spell, conceding just 16 runs from 3 overs while picking up a wicket.
The innings was finished off brilliantly by Awais Rafiq and Navneel, whose tight bowling prevented the opposition’s lower order from adding valuable late runs. Monsters posted 7/148 in 20 overs

Chasing the target, KKR once again got off to a solid start thanks to Navneel Kumar and Tomas Conaghan. Navneel continued his fine form with 27 runs, while Sam Ghallagher added a valuable 22 and Hekmatullah chipped in with 11.

The star of the chase was Tomas Conaghan, who anchored the innings superbly wi
th an unbeaten 72*, 🤴🫡 👏🏽💥guiding KKR comfortably home and ensuring another important victory. KKR chased down the target in the 19th over losing 3 wickets.
