🌹 They did it! 🌹

Here are your Newcastle Football Youth Girls Cup Division 2, 2026 Grand Final winners!

Buds showed great determination to claw back from 1-0 down to take the win 2-1. Thank you to opposition, Kotara South, for a great, very competitive game 👌🏻 ⚽️
The crowd, including me, was thoroughly entertained!! 💚❤️

In a year of challenges, injuries, some games played with 9 players and most played with one or no subs, these girls dug deep every week. Thanks to 15 girls who often lent a hand when also playing their own games.

Massive thanks to superstar coach and manager combo, Val and Natasha for their hard work and commitment through out the season 🙌 Grandfinal winning team and officials, two out of two years!

All the best to our 16/1 girls who will line up against Kotara South in their grand final at 8am tomorrow at Adamstown Oval ⚽️🥅

We are super proud of this team, lead by coach Val and manager Natasha, for making the grand final for the second year in a row. Get along tomorrow in your red and green to cheer them on!

🌹Buds 15G Semi Final Recap 🌹

After another fantastic season, Buds 15G also lined up for their first round of finals yesterday.

‘It was a very close first half, with New Lambton scoring first. A chance for Buds close range just before the half time whistle, but the girls headed to the sheds 1-0 down.

New Lambton’s skillful forwards passing was the difference in the second half going up 3-0.

Then the fight back, after losing a player to injury and going to 10 players, we scored in a goal mouth scramble. Followed closely by a beautiful strike by our winger to get us to 3-2!

Pressure was on and the next 10mins were exciting.

However, a final beautifully worked goal towards the end closed it out 4-2 for New Lambton.

The buds did themselves proud leaving everything on the pitch. Great season and great team.’

🌹 THROUGH TO GRAND FINAL! 🌹

Big win for our 16 Girls team this morning in their 1 v 2 semi final!

Buds goal scored by Marlie Owers ⚽️ secured a 1-0 win and their place in the Grand Final in two weeks!

We are all very proud of you girls and we can’t wait to watch you in the GF second year in a row 💚❤️

The 13s win their first round final!

After an early goal to Raymond Terrace, the boys fought back with an equaliser in the first half and then went ahead before half time. A strong defensive effort in the second half wrapped it up.
