I have worked with clients from Melbourne, Sunshine Coast, Western Australia, even some one from America once all while I live in the Hunter Valley NSW.

Your dance studio doesn’t need you working this long weekend.

The long weekend is the perfect reminder that rest isn’t a reward — it’s part of running a sustainable business.

Your students are taking a break. Your families are taking a break. You deserve one too.

The emails, enrolments, social media posts and admin tasks will still be there on Tuesday. Giving yourself permission to switch off for a few days can help you return with more energy, focus and creativity for the term ahead.

A successful studio isn’t built by being available 24/7. It’s built by creating systems, boundaries and support that allow you to step away when you need to.

Change is scary but as the dance world, your business knowledge and needs for your studio change you have to learn to adapt and do what’s right for you and your studio!!

In the last month I have helped studios make changes such as:
- change to a better software system for them to automate more
- get rid of software altogether to work with their needs and customer needs
- train a new staff member for a role that I have been doing for the last 3 years but now suits better for someone else
- implement better systems and procedures for teachers
- enforcing policies for parents and students instead of letting them do their own thing

I have even made changes in my own business as that is what is needed in my current season!!

It’s all been scary but worth it in the end.
