Neerim Sip N Bowls In Oct 2025 SNB2 commenced with 14 teams of 3 bowlers out to bring down reigning champs, Saggy Bowls which they did !

In the end it was down to two teams and it was The Footbowlers who prevailed over The NOBs.

The top 5 teams from SNB2 ’returned’ last night to play the members who regularly assisted throughout the season. The members arrived thinking it was a drinks and casual roll up amongst themselves, to find 15 sippers drooling at the prospect of taking on the members.

Played over two 6 end contests members played out of position and it was up to the skips, Linda, Des, Thelma. Sian and Greg to get the best out of their teams against, The Footbowlers, The NOBS. Jolly Rolly Poly’s Bust Ya Bowls and Team Ambowlance.

At the conclusion of the 10 games the members won 5.5 games and Team SNB2 4.5 games and overall Team SNB had 48 shots to the workers 60 shots.

The competitive banter was intense, lots of laughs and a drink or two after the game to bring SNB2 to a close (again) Another great initiative by the 3 amigos , Sian , Craig and Neil. Somehow they kept this one a secret, even from the guy who buys the beer; we ran out of blue cans!

Well we got the catch phrase in our logo right; over the 14 weeks there was a lot of fun and according to the players there were new friendships made and old ones rekindled.

Winners are all smiles! Congratulations to The Footbowlers on winning SNB2. Pictured receiving the Trophy from some Dame are Skip Tex, Cummo and Nipper after a 7/4 win over The NOBS.

Skip Tex spoke of the wonderful spirit the competition was played in and how much he and other participants had enjoyed the past 14 weeks of SNB2.

The NOBs, went one better than last year declared that they would go one better again next season and take the crown.

Bust Ya Bowls did just that to Jolly Rolly Poly’s taking 3rd place 9/2.
