What a view ❤️ we currently have baby Maple here on agistment while her owner is away, and its lovely to see her slot straight into the baby crew with the Amaloo kids. Herd life is oh so important to teach these young horses manners and social skills. The babies are currently paddocked with the three ridden mares to make it easy to keep up with their handling and start teaching them about life so they arent feral little fluff balls.

This breeding season we have decided to retire a few of our mares from breeding. I believe that when the process becomes difficult due to age and lower fertility, you need to draw a line on when to call it quits. Four mares unfortunately made it to the quits line, so are now transitioning into life as paddock buddy and baby nannies, and 3 loan mares have returned home. To offset this, there are some new faces that will be coming through the crush. It is amazing how mares turn up when they do, without actively searching for them. While there is a list of what I would ideally like to add to the broodmares, Im a big beliver of the universe providing.

So while its farewell to Pepper, Jorgie, Lucy, Rain, Betty and Spice, we welcome back Ellie on loan and new additions Cheri, Dixie, Pepsi and Ebony.

Ebony is already in foal, and due October, so we get to have an extra baby this season 💕

Welfare check on the broodmares today after some avg weather the last couple of days. Happy to report everyone is in good form. Had to have a quick chat and scratch with this beautiful girl. DvZ Jewel 💕

Happy Gotcha Day Demi!! Who would have thought 12mths would go that fast.

A year ago we welcomed Demi to Amaloo Park after 8000+ kms of travelling via truck, ferry and airplane from Trevalda stud in NZ. There has been zero regrets 💕 I love this mare, I absolutely adore the filly she has produced, but I am so excited to have her going back under saddle in the next few weeks.

Proud breeder moment 💕

Amaloo Donnovan had his first competitive outing last wk end, and handled it all with class. He even managed to bring home 🥇 huge congratulations to his owner and how well she has educated him so far.

This was the foal that was never meant to be for sale as he was bred to be my next eventer, so it is extra special for me to see him out doing well

Its always a little sad when this day rolls around, but its also exciting to see them off on the new adventure. Today we said goodbye to our big sweet boy Henry. He left to his new home and we cannot wait to see what the future holds for him ... and when he will stop growing !

Beautiful miss Cheri has settled in well on the west side ❤️ poor thing has probably never been somewhere this dry and lacking in feed during summer. Lucky she timed her arrival just right and we are starting to get some pasture. Big plans for this girl, bring on breeding season 2026
