This weekend we the Annual Ish*tobi-Ha Sh*to-ryu Shukokai Karate Union Oceania Gasshuku.

Including myself we had 7 members from Shogokan attend.

Training was tough, how it should be.

Emphasis was placed on kihon and attitude. Train with intent, commit fully to every action, and learn to switch “on” and “off” with purpose.

A massive thank you to Stephen Kelly Shihan, Head of The Union in Oceania, for being an outstanding host and for organising this wonderful Gasshuku.

What a busy but amazing 3 days of gradings. Advanced Juniors on Saturday, Teens and adults on Sunday and Mighty Samurai kids and juniors this afternoon.

As always there are things we can work on to improve but that is how we grow.

I am so proud of all of you and the effort you have put into your preparation and your actual gradings.

It is a privilege to work with such awesome students.
