Most junior athletes are busy… but not actually improving.

They’re playing games, attending training, and staying active but without the right focus, real development gets missed.

The junior years are the biggest window to build speed, coordination, strength, and movement patterns.
What’s built here sets the foundation for everything that follows.

At Phoenix, we focus on developing athletes not just keeping them busy.

If you want your child to actually progress, now’s the time to start.

Confidence isn’t built in games.
It’s built in preparation.

Most junior athletes are never actually taught how to run, they just run.

But running mechanics are a skill.

When athletes learn the right mechanics early, they build better movement patterns, improve coordination, and reduce their risk of injury as training loads increase.

Fixing poor habits later can take months of retraining.

Teaching it early means athletes move more efficiently, develop speed faster, and build a foundation that carries into every sport they play.

A strong core does more than build abs.

For athletes, it’s what connects the upper and lower body, transferring force when you sprint, change direction, jump, or tackle.

Without core strength, power leaks.
Movement becomes inefficient. And injury risk increases.

Strength training at Phoenix isn’t about lifting the heaviest weight, it’s about building stronger, faster, more resilient athletes.

We train strength that transfers: better movement, better mechanics, more power, and fewer injuries.

Every rep has purpose. Every exercise has a reason.
And every athlete leaves stronger than they arrived.

With school holidays coming up, most kids switch off… but for junior athletes, it’s the biggest opportunity of the year.

Most juniors stop completely, which means the ones who stay consistent come back faster, stronger and more confident next season.

These younger years are where movement patterns are built, mechanics are learned and long term success is shaped.

If your child takes their sport seriously, off season development isn’t optional, it’s the advantage.

Start early. Progress quicker. Stay ahead.

At Phoenix, nothing is “one size fits all.”

Every athlete gets individualised coaching. We don’t work in groups and all our sessions and programs are built around weekly load management, speed, strength, acceleration and injury prevention

We closely monitor technique, load, and progress so we can adjust your program exactly when your body needs it, not weeks later.

Because of this, we limit the number of athletes we work with to make sure every session gets the coaching, attention and detail it deserves.

Better coaching. Better intent. Better results. ⚡️

ADVANCED HAMSTRING TRAINING / REHAB ⚡️

These exercises build hamstring resilience and control. These are the missing elements athletes need to stay safe and performing at high speeds.

Strength without control is one of the biggest reasons athletes deal with repeat strains, tightness, and inconsistent performance.

If you’re strong in the gym but your speed and movements on the field aren’t progressing, you might want to add these into your weekly programming.

Note: These exercises are used inside a structured, load-managed program.
Avoid doing them right before sprinting or within 48 hours of a game.

The hips are one of the most under trained and overlooked areas in an athlete’s body, yet they influence almost everything you do.

Tight, weak or poorly controlled hips limit stride length, slow down your change of direction, and place extra stress on your knees, hamstrings and lower back.

But when your hips move well, you run better, rotate better, jump higher, and stay healthier.

This routine targets the mobility and control athletes need to move freely and efficiently.
