Hi all, unfortunately yesterday our friends at the Bridgetown Golf Club suffered the loss of their clubhouse and other infrastructure as a result of a bush fire.
Once things calm down and they can get water back on and greens ’green’ again, If you can, head on down for a round or two and show them some support.

For those that may stumble across our page, I am in the process of setting the page up and as I’m the only member on Facebook at the moment, it may take a while!
I will, when I can, post all of our activities.
We are a small club of no more than 20 members that is determined to continue our 105 years of existence.
We are not a stuffy, expensive membership club, we are very relaxed and are happy to give any prospective new golfer a chance to catch the bug😁

This chimney that was located just south of Balingup is the location of the third and fifth course of the Balingup Golf Club on land owned by the club and E Blakeney.
Golf was played here from 1920 until 1926 when the course moved to Wansborohs property, “Woodlands” and from 1929 until 1950 when the course was moved to its current location.
The club house that the chimney belonged to was built around 1936 and after the club moved, the building and a small piece of land owned by the club was sold to the Balingup RSL. The building was demolished in the 1970s after the RSL folded and sold the assets to the adjoining land owner.
