What a great afternoon celebrating our 2026 Pennant teams and recognising the players who proudly represented Moruya Bowls Club throughout the season.

From our Ladies Division 4 side through to Open Gender Grades 7, 5 and 4, it was a chance to come together, reflect on the season that was and acknowledge the commitment, teamwork and club spirit shown across all grades.

A special moment of the day was the official raising of the Grade 4 Pennant following their outstanding achievement in becoming Region Grade 4 Pennant Champions and progressing through to the NSW State Playoffs. A milestone achievement for the team and one the entire club can be proud of.

Thank you to everyone who attended, helped organise the day, and continues to support bowls at Moruya. Here’s to celebrating the successes of the season and building towards an even bigger 2027. 💙🤍

Either way, it was great to have them make the trip from Victoria for the Moruya Men’s Pairs 👏

Good bowls. Good people. Plenty of laughs. That’s what weekends like this at Moruya Bowlo are all about 👏

A big thank you to Gail Page for umpiring across the two days, along with all of our volunteers, the management team, match committee and everyone behind the scenes who helped bring the Moruya Bowling Club’s Men’s Pairs together.

And to all bowlers who travelled from near and far to support the weekend — thank you. We loved having you at the club.

The real talking point at Moruya Bowlo this weekend? The Lindenow boys turning up already rocking their “6 packs” … while the rest of the bowlers are still trying to work on theirs 😂🍻

Safe to say there was a fair bit of jealousy around the greens all weekend.

Moruya Men’s Pairs | Match Report

Moruya Bowling Club hosted two big days of bowls, with a strong field travelling from across the region and beyond, including players from as far as Trafalgar, Victoria.

Played in a traditional pairs format over two days, teams contested six games of 12 ends, with three games played each day. Scoring was based on 3 points for a win, 1 point for a tie, with margin determining the final placings.

After a competitive weekend on the greens, Jeff Rankin and Joel Hilliard claimed the win, finishing on 16 points, +60 shots and 45 ends.

Simon Alleaume and Donald Banks finished second, also on 16 points, with +16 shots and 39 ends, while Helmut Schuster and Andrew Clifford took third place with 15 points, +34 shots and 40 ends.

Geoff Lee and Shane Quinlivan rounded out the top four, finishing on 15 points, +22 shots and 37 ends, while father and son duo Brett Megee and Stuart Megee claimed fifth place with 12 points, +29 shots and 43 ends.

Congratulations to the winners and to every team who made the trip to Moruya for a fantastic weekend of bowls.
